The posting

Voor een bedrijf in de Gentse kanaalzone, ervaren in transport van containers nationaal en internationaal, zijn we op zoek naar een chauffeur CE / terbergchauffeur.

In deze functie combineer je terminalwerk met containertransport. Het grootste deel van je werkzaamheden vindt plaats in de haven van Gent, waar je instaat voor het verplaatsen en positioneren van opleggers en containers. Daarnaast kan je sporadisch of op regelmatige basis worden ingezet voor containertransport richting de haven van Antwerpen. Een ideale combinatie voor chauffeurs die graag actief bezig zijn en afwisseling belangrijk vinden.

Als Terbergchauffeur zorg je ervoor dat trailers en containers op de juiste plaats terechtkomen en dat de operationele flow op de terminal vlot verloopt.

Je staat onder andere in voor:

  • Het verplaatsen en rangeren van trailers en containers met een terminaltrekker.
  • Het veilig aan- en afkoppelen van opleggers.
  • Het correct positioneren van trailers aan laad- en loszones.
  • Het uitvoeren van controles en het veilig uitvoeren van de dagelijkse manoeuvres.
  • Het vervoeren van containers tussen verschillende locaties wanneer je wordt ingezet als chauffeur CE.
  • Het correct opvolgen van de geldende veiligheids- en verkeersvoorschriften.
  • Het tijdig signaleren van eventuele problemen of bijzonderheden.

Je werkt in een omgeving waar veiligheid, nauwkeurigheid en een goede samenwerking belangrijk zijn.

Voor deze functie zoeken we een chauffeur die zelfstandig kan werken en verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor zijn materieel en opdrachten.

Je beschikt over:

  • Een geldig rijbewijs CE.
  • Ervaring als Terberg- of terminaltrekkerchauffeur is mooi meegenomen.
  • Ervaring met containertransport is een pluspunt.
  • Nog geen ervaring met een Terberg? Geen probleem: met de juiste ingesteldheid kan je de nodige vaardigheden intern aanleren.
  • Een veilige en zorgvuldige rijstijl.
  • Een verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en een professionele werkhouding.
  • De nodige flexibiliteit om verschillende soorten opdrachten uit te voeren.
  • Een goede kennis van het Nederlands. Engels is een extra troef.

Je bent iemand die graag de handen uit de mouwen steekt, zelfstandig kan werken en zich gemakkelijk aanpast aan een veranderende planning.
