Persoonlijke aandacht en professionele begeleiding staan centraal bij de middencomplex ambulance Dit is middencomplexe ambulancezorg Bij middencomplexe ambulancezorg gaat het om voorspelbare, niet acuut levensbedreigende situaties. Zorgvragen zijn voornamelijk gericht op care (verzorging) en minder op cure (behandeling). Het betreft voornamelijk vervoer van patiënten tussen het woon- of verblijfadres en/of zorgorganisatie voor bijvoorbeeld diagnostiek, therapie, opname of ontslag. Voorbeelden van werkzaamheden door de verpleegkundige binnen de middencomplexe ambulancezorg zijn handelingen op het gebied van pijnstilling, ritmebewaking en het continueren van een (voedings-)infuus. Daarnaast kan volgens protocol pijnstilling of medicatie verstrekt worden aan de patiënt. Inhoud van het werk als ambulancechauffeur middencomplex Als chauffeur werk je nauw samen met je collega verpleegkundige. Samen verlenen jullie zowel onbewaakt als bewaakt zorgvervoer, waarbij de verpleegkundige de medische eindverantwoordelijkheid over de patiënt draagt. Het zorgen voor veilig en comfortabel vervoer is jouw verantwoordelijkheid als chauffeur. Daarnaast assisteer je als chauffeur de verpleegkundige op een proactieve wijze, bijvoorbeeld door de patiënt op de brancard te vervoeren, monitoren aan te sluiten op de patiënt of benodigde materialen klaar te leggen. Verder verzorgt de chauffeur (mede) de communicatie met de centrale meldkamer ambulancezorg. Als chauffeur middencomplex ben je verantwoordelijk voor het controleren van het voertuig. Te denken valt aan de dagelijkse controle van lampen, de sirene, het oliepeil, de mobilofoon en de brandstof.
