In deze functie ben je het eerste aanspreekpunt voor de vertrekkende passagiers. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het inchecken van passagiers en het begeleiden van het boarding proces aan de gate. Je verwelkomt en informeert de passagiers aan de incheckbalie, registreert de passagiers in het computersysteem en je controleert de reisdocumenten. Bij dat laatste moet jij nagaan of een passagier die bijvoorbeeld in Brussel vertrekt, samen met z'n hond naar Amsterdam vliegt om daar over te stappen op een vlucht naar New York, wel alle documenten heeft om vlot overal doorheen de controles te geraken. Verder breng je de bagage in orde voor verwerking en je zorgt dat alle passagiers vlot, correct en tijdig aan boord geraken vanaf de gate. Je weet hier de perfecte balans te bewaren tussen klantvriendelijkheid, safety, security en timing. Al snel ga je naar de volgende stap waarbij je als Check-in Agent ook de rol van Flight Controller opneemt. Je hebt dan de leiding bij het boarding proces aan de gate; je stuurt je collega's aan, je communiceert met de Turnaround Coordinator die aan het vliegtuig op het tarmac alles in goede banen leidt en je lost alle problemen op die zich voordoen aan de gate van jouw vlucht. Als beginnende Check-in Agent word je door Aviapartner volledig begeleid om deze functie stap voor stap onder de knie te krijgen. Alles begint met een klassikale training voor alle theorie. Daarna ga je de vertrekhal in voor je dubbelloop; met een ervaren Check-in Agent leer je al doende je eerste stappen in de functie zelf te zetten. Voor alle duidelijkheid: je arbeidsovereenkomst en dus je loon begint te lopen vanaf de eerste dag van de training.
