Talentmark Clinical Operations What are the tasks? Clinical Operations teams Clinical operations teams, which include Clinical Project Managers , Clinical Research Associates and Clinical Trial Assistants , are essential for the delivery of clinical research activity. They are responsible for designing, planning and running clinical trials/clinical study within the Pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Clinical operations teams can be small or large, depending on the size and type of clinical study. They are often made up of: - Clinical trial administrators who support the day-to-day activities for the trial - Used with trial master files (TMF) and electronic trial master files (eTMF) - Field-based monitors or Clinical Research Associates who travel to different research units to ensure the trial is running correctly - Clinical Study Managers/Clinical Project Managers who manage teams or running trial - Directorship roles, holding the sole responsibility for a trial Teams work with other departments such as clinical science, clinical quality assurance, data management, biostatistics and regulatory affairs.
