Voor onze klant, regio Roeselare, zijn wij op zoek naar een Concept Engineer met de ambitie om door te groeien naar Engineering Manager. Dit familiebedrijf heeft wereldwijd naam gemaakt dankzij innovatieve oplossingen op vlak van interne transportsystemen. De installaties die hier worden ontworpen en gebouwd, zijn steeds volledig op maat van de klant en vinden hun toepassing in diverse sectoren, van voeding en automobile tot farma en logistiek.

Momenteel telt dit tweede generatie familiebedrijf een 20-tal werknemers die samen bijdragen aan het enorme succesverhaal. Zo werd enkele jaren geleden een nieuw gebouw bij gezet om de toestroom aan projecten de baas te kunnen.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Je ontwikkelt technische concepten/prototypes op maat van de klant, specifiek voor interne transportsystemen
  • Daarnaast ondersteun je één van de zaakvoerders in de pre-salesfase door offertes technisch te onderbouwen (bv. qua lay-out en materiaalkeuze)
  • Je staat in nauw contact met klanten en leveranciers, voert opmetingen uit en beantwoordt technische vragen
  • Zodra het concept is goedgekeurd, vertaal jij het naar concrete input voor het tekenbureau en werkt de Project Engineer dit in detail uit
  • Binnen het jaar groei je door tot Engineering Manager en neem je de leiding over engineering projecten, budget, kwaliteit en planning
  • Daarbij zal je ook een team van drie ingenieurs aansturen, hun werk begeleiden en de voortgang van hun projecten opvolgen
  • Je behaalde een Masterdiploma Burgerlijk Ingenieur Elektromechanica of Werktuigkunde
  • Relevante werkervaring in de machinebouw is een must (minstens 3-5 jaar binnen mechanica)
  • Je werkt vlot met 3D-tekenprogramma’s zoals Inventor of SolidWorks
