Bij internationale industriële projecten wordt het verschil niet alleen gemaakt tijdens engineering. Zodra de uitvoering op de werf start, bepalen leiderschap, coördinatie en grip op tientallen stakeholders of een complexe installatie veilig, kwalitatief en volgens planning richting Mechanical Completion gaat.

Binnen een internationale projectomgeving voor grootschalige proces- en material handling-installaties vormt Construction & Pre-Commissioning de schakel tussen engineering en de uiteindelijke commissioning. Mechanische constructie, elektrische installatie, IO-testing en Mechanical Completion komen hier samen op projectlocaties wereldwijd.

Voor de verdere uitbouw van deze organisatie wordt gezocht naar een ervaren Construction & Pre-Commissioning Director die de volledige Site Operations-afdeling leidt. Je neemt verantwoordelijkheid over een internationaal team van ±35 medewerkers en combineert people management met technische projectuitvoering, stakeholdermanagement en de verdere professionalisering van de afdeling.

Construction & Pre-Commissioning Director - Functieomschrijving:

  • Je leidt een internationale Site Operations-organisatie van ±35 medewerkers, waaronder Mechanical & Electrical Site Supervisors, Site Coordinators en Pre-Commissioning Engineers. Je bepaalt prioriteiten, verdeelt capaciteit over verschillende projecten en zorgt ervoor dat medewerkers die langdurig internationaal actief zijn de nodige begeleiding, ondersteuning en richting krijgen.
  • Je draagt de eindverantwoordelijkheid over de construction- en pre-commissioningfase van internationale industriële installaties. Je bewaakt mechanische en elektrische uitvoering, IO-testing, veiligheid, kwaliteit, planning en Mechanical Completion en treedt op als escalatiepunt wanneer operationele of technische uitdagingen ontstaan.
  • Je vormt de centrale schakel tussen Site Operations, Project Management, klanten en internationale subcontractors. Daarbij bewaak je scope, risico's, contractuele afspraken en claims en bouw je de afdeling verder uit door middel van standaardisatie, Operational Excellence en Continuous Improvement. Daarnaast valt ook het warehouse-team onder jouw verantwoordelijkheid.

Construction & Pre-Commissioning Director - Profiel:

  • Je beschikt over een Master- of Bacheloropleiding in een technische richting en hebt minstens tien jaar ervaring binnen industriële projectuitvoering, construction management of site management, bij voorkeur binnen grote EPC, turnkey- of procesinstallaties.
  • Je hebt aantoonbare leidinggevende ervaring over multidisciplinaire technische teams en beschikt over voldoende technische bagage binnen mechanische constructie, elektrische installaties, pre-commissioning, IO-testing en Mechanical Completion om jouw team inhoudelijk te kunnen challengen en ondersteunen.
  • Je bent een sterke people manager die een ervaren internationaal team kan verbinden, motiveren en ontwikkelen, maar tegelijk voldoende assertiviteit en besluitvaardigheid toont wanneer projecten daarom vragen. Internationale projectervaring is essentieel en je bent bereid om gemiddeld 20 à 25% internationaal te reizen.
