Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het behandelen van aanvragen voor bijzondere bijstand. Je beoordeelt aanvragen zorgvuldig, toetst deze aan de wet- en regelgeving en neemt besluiten die passen bij de situatie van de inwoner. De functie Als Consulent Bijzondere Bijstand help je inwoners die tijdelijk extra financiële ondersteuning nodig hebben. Jij behandelt aanvragen voor bijzondere bijstand van NUG'ers (Niet-Uitkeringsgerechtigden) en zorgt ervoor dat mensen krijgen waar zij recht op hebben. Je beoordeelt aanvragen, voert gesprekken met inwoners en legt op een begrijpelijke manier uit welke regels en mogelijkheden er zijn. Daarbij kijk je niet alleen naar de aanvraag, maar vooral naar de persoon achter de aanvraag. Samen zoek je naar een passende oplossing die aansluit bij de situatie van de inwoner. Daarnaast werk je nauw samen met collega's en verschillende organisaties. Je zorgt ervoor dat aanvragen goed worden verwerkt, neemt besluiten en regelt de administratieve afhandeling.
