The posting

Als Checker zorg je ervoor dat beschadigde containers opnieuw veilig en gebruiksklaar zijn en sta je onder andere in voor:

  • Je inspecteert containers grondig op schade en afwijkingen, zowel aan de binnen- als buitenzijde
  • Je stelt schaderapporten op volgens IICL-normen en/of de specifieke richtlijnen van klanten
  • Je registreert schadecodes digitaal en vertaalt deze naar een correct herstelbestek
  • Je beoordeelt en onderbouwt de noodzakelijke herstellingen op basis van jouw inspectiebevindingen
  • Je staat dagelijks in contact met vrachtwagenchauffeurs, havenarbeiders en collega’s van het depot om een vlotte operationele doorstroming te garanderen
  • Je draagt actief bij aan een veilige en efficiënte werkomgeving binnen het depot
  • Voor deze functie zoeken wij iemand met een technische achtergrond ( denk aan metaalbewerking/ lassen of dergelijke)
  • Met deze achtergrond kan je namelijk snel inschatten of de container volledig intact is om terug ingezet te worden en verstuurd te worden naar de klanten
  • Oog voor detail is dan ook uiterst belangrijk
  • Je dient zeker een goede basiskennis te hebben van containeronderdelen (vloeren, sluitwerk, corner castings, profielen en rails), containerherstellingen en laswerken
  • Je hebt geen probleem met fysiek werk en werken in openlucht.
  • Je kan een bewijs van goed gedrag en zeden voorleggen en gaat akkoord met de security check die sinds 2026 verplicht is voor de hele Haven Van Antwerpen
  • Je bent in het bezit van een eigen wagen (must!)
  • Je staat open voor een 3 ploegensysteem ( vroege- late-nacht)
  • Weekendwerk enkel op aanvraag, geen absolute must
