Voor onze klant, een exponentieel groeiende onderneming te regio Gent, zijn we op zoek naar een Controlling Manager die structuur kan brengen in de finance afdeling en deze verder kan professionaliseren. We zoeken een échte leider die de het Controlling departement op punt kan stellen en naar een hoger niveau kan tillen.

Jobomschrijving

In deze sleutelrol krijg je de unieke kans om business control en datagedreven rapportering verder uit te bouwen vanaf de basis. De data is aanwezig, maar vandaag nog niet altijd even gestructureerd, betrouwbaar of toegankelijk. Jij brengt hier verandering in en bouwt mee aan de fundamenten die nodig zijn om de organisatie naar een hoger niveau te tillen.

Je komt terecht in een dynamische omgeving die veel uitdagingen kent omwille van hun exponentiële groei. Aangezien zij momenteel nog niet de structuur hebben bestaat je rol als Controlling Manager uit:

  • Je neemt ownership over de verdere uitbouw van business control, data en managementrapportering.
  • Je brengt structuur in complexe en versnipperde data en zorgt ervoor dat de organisatie kan beschikken over betrouwbare en relevante stuurinformatie.
  • Je bouwt rapporteringsprocessen en datastromen verder uit en zorgt ervoor dat inzichten snel en efficiënt beschikbaar zijn voor de business.
  • Je gaat verder dan het rapporteren van cijfers: je vertaalt data naar inzichten, inzichten naar acties en acties naar concrete business impact.
  • Je analyseert onder meer omzet, productieve uren, resultaten, P&L en financiële performantie.
  • Je ontwikkelt benchmarks, detecteert afwijkingen en identificeert verbeterpotentieel.
  • Je neemt een duidelijke challenger-rol richting de business. Je stelt kritische vragen en gaat op zoek naar het verhaal achter de cijfers: Wat verklaart een omzetstijging van 5%? Waar wordt er afgeweken van de groepsstandaard? En vooral: wat kunnen we met deze inzichten doen?
  • Je combineert een sterke helicopterview met voldoende diepgang om analyses inhoudelijk te doorgronden en de juiste conclusies te trekken.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met directie en andere stakeholders en weet hen op basis van data mee te krijgen in beslissingen en verandertrajecten - ook wanneer de boodschap niet altijd comfortabel is.
  • Je krijgt bovendien de mogelijkheid om de business control-organisatie verder vorm te geven en op termijn een team uit te bouwen van ongeveer 4-5 Controllers en data specialist.
  • Je bent daarmee niet alleen verantwoordelijk voor de cijfers, maar wordt een strategische sparringpartner voor de business en een belangrijke drijvende kracht achter verdere professionalisering en groei.

  • Masterdiploma in finance, economie, bedrijfskunde of een gelijkaardige richting.
  • Minstens 10 jaar relevante ervaring.
  • Sterke kennis van business controlling, finance en P&L.
  • Zeer analytisch en datagedreven.
  • Zeer goede kennis van Excel en relevante rapporterings- en analysetools.
  • Ervaring met grote datasets en het structureren van data.
  • Ervaring met het opbouwen van processen en rapportering from scratch.
  • Sterke combinatie van detailgerichtheid en strategisch inzicht.
  • Uitgesproken stakeholdermanagement en communicatieve vaardigheden.
  • Business kritisch challengen en moeilijke inzichten te benoemen.
