The posting

Jouw rol & verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Voorbereiden en controleren van douanedocumenten en het geven van correcte instructies aan douaneagenten voor import, export, transit, opslag en uitslag in douane-entrepots.
  • Toezien op de correcte naleving van Belgische en EU-douanewetgeving.
  • Onderhouden van contacten met douaneautoriteiten, externe douane partners en klanten.
  • Beheren en opvolgen van vergunningen en douaneregelingen, zoals AEO, douane-entrepots, RTO.
  • Adviseren over douanewaarde, tariefindeling (HS-codes) en oorsprongregels.
  • Correct onboarden van klanten met betrekking tot douaneactiviteiten en compliance.
  • Opvolgen van correcte behandeling en tijdige afsluiting van transitprocedures.
  • Ondersteunen bij douane-audits en controles.
  • Identificeren van risico’s en kansen op het gebied van trade compliance en kostenoptimalisatie.
  • Bijdragen aan de verbetering en standaardisatie van douaneprocessen.
  • Opvolgen van wetswijzigingen en vertalen naar interne procedures.
  • Samenwerken met logistiek, finance, legal en supply chain teams.
  • Afhandelen van uitzonderingen en onregelmatigheden binnen douanedossiers.
  • Signaleren van terugkerende problemen aan klanten en interne afdelingen om verbeteringen te stimuleren.

Opleiding en ervaring

  • Bachelor diploma of gelijkwaardig door relevante werkervaring.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met douaneformaliteiten en douanewetgeving.
  • Ervaring binnen internationale logistiek, transport of supply chain is een plus.
  • Kennis van en ervaring met douaneregelingen en vergunningen zoals AEO, douane-entrepots, RTO en ETC.
  • Ervaring met het begeleiden en instrueren van douaneagenten is een pré.

Vaardigheden en Competenties

  • Uitstekende kennis van Belgische, EU- en internationale douanewetgeving.
  • Nauwkeurig en gestructureerd kunnen werken, met oog voor detail.
  • Proactieve en zelfstandige werkhouding.
  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling.
  • Analytisch vermogen om risico’s en kansen op het gebied van trade compliance te identificeren.
  • Probleemoplossend en klantgericht, met het vermogen om terugkerende issues te signaleren en te rapporteren.
  • Teamspeler die effectief samenwerkt met interne afdelingen zoals logistiek, finance, legal en supply chain.

  • Betrouwbaar en integer, met een sterk verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel.
  • Flexibel en stressbestendig in een dynamische werkomgeving.
  • Leergierig en bereid om op de hoogte te blijven van wetswijzigingen en ontwikkelingen binnen het douanevakgebied.
