Doel

Als Data Engineer bij de dienst ICT werk je nauw samen met andere data engineers binnen de eigen dienst en de dienst Data & Analyse (D&A) met als doel het bouwen van een Centralised Data Layer. Deze component zal meerdere interne en externe databronnen en applicaties verbinden met elkaar.

Inhoud

Je takenpakket als Data Engineer bestaat uit drie luiken.

1. Technische coördinatie, documentatie & governance

  • Je neemt, samen met collega’s en de leidinggevende, een coördinerende rol op bij wijzigingen aan het data warehouse en de dataflows.
  • Je fungeert als technisch SPOC met andere (technische) diensten.
  • Je bewaakt en onderhoudt documentatie, mapping en datadefinities en draagt bij aan afspraken rond data governance.

2 Data platform & engineering

  • Je beheert en ontwikkelt, de Centralised Data Layer van Fedasil.
  • Je ontwikkelt en onderhoudt ETL/ELT-processen en dataflows die data ontsluiten voor zowel rechtstreeks gebruik als analyse en rapportering.
  • Je bewaakt en verbetert de kwaliteit, performantie en robuustheid van het data platform.

3. Ondersteuning van analyse & rapportering

  • Je zorgt ervoor dat data consistent en gebruiksklaar beschikbaar zijn voor dashboards en rapporten in Power BI.
  • Je ontwikkelt en onderhoudt semantische modellen ter ondersteuning van analyse en rapportering.
  • Je ondersteunt data-analisten bij complexe datavragen door het aanleveren van performante datasets.

U hebt ervaring in projectbeheer en hebt bijzondere interesse voor Fedasil, zijn werking, zijn waarden en zijn doelgroep. Voor meer informatie, raadpleeg www.fedasil.be.

Diploma

  • Optie 1: Je hebt een masterdiploma in ICT zonder ervaring Optie 2: Je hebt een masterdiploma met minstens 1 jaar ervaring Optie 3: Je hebt een bachelorsdiploma in ICT met minstens 1 jaar ervaring Optie 4: Je hebt een bachelorsdiploma met minstens 2 jaar ervaring

Relevante werkervaring op IT-gebied is vereist, waarbij je ten minste de volgende taken hebt uitgevoerd:

  • Je neemt, samen met collega’s en de leidinggevende, een coördinerende rol op bij wijzigingen aan het data warehouse en de dataflows.
  • Je bewaakt en verbetert de kwaliteit, performantie en robuustheid van het data platform.

Om te kunnen bepalen of je aan de selectievoorwaarden voldoet, moet je de hierboven vereiste ervaring duidelijk in je cv beschrijven in de vorm van:

Troeven

  • Relevante ervaring als Data Engineer, BI Developer of Data Platform Specialist.
  • Grondige kennis van relationele databanken en SQL.
  • Ervaring met datalake en/of datawarehouse architecturen.
  • Ervaring met ETL of ELT-processen.
  • Kennis van minstens één programmeertaal.
  • Ervaring met Power BI of andere BI-tools.
  • Inzicht in data governance en datakwaliteit.
  • Kennis van Fedasil, asiel, migratie en opvang is een meerwaarde.
  • Je beheerst één van de landstalen en kan je uitdrukken in de andere landstaal.
