Ben jij iemand die graag ruwe data omzet in betrouwbare en gestructureerde datasets die bedrijfsbeslissingen ondersteunen?

Voor een internationale productieorganisatie met een sterke focus op innovatie, technologie en duurzaamheid zijn we op zoek naar een Data Engineer. In deze rol draag je bij aan de verdere ontwikkeling en het onderhoud van een Azure-gebaseerd dataplatform. Je zorgt ervoor dat data kwalitatief, toegankelijk en bruikbaar is voor analytics en rapportering. Dit is een hands-on data engineering functie waarin je voornamelijk werkt rond SQL-transformaties, data pipelines en platformoptimalisatie. Je bouwt mee aan schaalbare en robuuste dataoplossingen die de organisatie ondersteunen bij datagedreven besluitvorming.

Daarnaast wordt verwacht dat je een kritische en analytische houding aanneemt. Je stelt bestaande werkwijzen in vraag, detecteert inefficiënties en doet onderbouwde voorstellen om processen en technologieën verder te verbeteren.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Ontwikkelen, monitoren en optimaliseren van data pipelines binnen Azure Synapse en Azure Data Factory
  • Ontwerpen en optimaliseren van data-opslagoplossingen, waaronder Azure Data Lake en Synapse Analytics
  • Ontwikkelen en onderhouden van schaalbare SQL-transformaties
  • Waarborgen van datakwaliteit, betrouwbaarheid en performantie binnen het dataplatform
  • Samenwerken met analisten en business stakeholders om bruikbare en betrouwbare datasets op te leveren
  • Ondersteunen van data governance-, security- en compliancevereisten
  • Daarnaast:
  • Identificeer en realiseer je proactief verbeteringen in datamodellen, pipelines en platformprestaties
  • Werk je nauw samen met Data Leads en Data Architects bij technische keuzes en optimalisaties
  • Volg je ontwikkelingen binnen moderne dataplatformen zoals Microsoft Fabric en Databricks op en beoordeel je hun praktische meerwaarde
  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als Data Engineer, bij voorkeur binnen een Azure-omgeving
  • Masterdiploma in IT, Data, Economie of gelijkwaardig door ervaring
  • Sterke kennis van SQL en ervaring met moderne dataplatformen en transformatieprocessen
  • Vertrouwd met data modelling en schema design
  • Ervaring met het verwerken van grote datasets en het bouwen van efficiënte, schaalbare data pipelines
  • Kennis van Python is een pluspunt, maar geen vereiste
  • Hands-on mentaliteit gecombineerd met kritisch denkvermogen
  • Durft bestaande werkwijzen uit te dagen en verbeteringen voor te stellen
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden richting zowel technische als niet-technische stakeholders
  • Vlotte kennis van het Engels; kennis van het Nederlands is een pluspunt
