Als Application & Integration Architect - Planning & Scheduling Systems werk je op het kruispunt van business, IT en leveranciers. De afdeling Transport Management Systemen (TMS) ondersteunt kritische processen zoals planning, dispatching en stelplaatsbeheer met een sterk geïntegreerd applicatielandschap. Hierbij bouwen wij de komende jaren mee aan de elektrificatie van De Lijn.

Als Application & Integration Architect binnen het applicationteam transport management systemen zorg je voor het behoud van de coherentie en toekomst-gerichtheid van dit landschap. Je bewaakt de samenhang tussen businessnoden, technische keuzes en architectuurprincipes, stuurt leveranciers aan, en voorkomt versnippering, technical debt en inefficiënte maatwerkoplossingen.

Zo kan TMS sneller en gecontroleerder evolueren, met oplossingen die schaalbaar, beheersbaar en afgestemd zijn op de bredere ICT‑architectuur van De Lijn.

Je combineert dus analytisch inzicht met een sterke feeling voor praktische oplossingen.

Concreet:

  • Je analyseert de noden van planners, dispatching, operationele teams en andere interne stakeholders. Hierbij gaat het zowel over de expertgebruikers als andere architecten, analisten en projectmedewerkers.
  • Je vertaalt deze noden naar duidelijke functionele specificaties en verbeteringsvoorstellen voor onze softwaretoepassingen.
  • Je verdiept je in de bestaande softwarearchitectuur en denkt actief mee na over modernisering, vereenvoudiging en gebruiksvriendelijkheid.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met internationale softwareleveranciers, waarbij Engels de voertaal is.
  • Je challengt leveranciers op inhoud, kwaliteit en haalbaarheid, en bewaakt samen met interne collega's de architecturale keuzes.
  • Je zorgt voor heldere documentatie en verdedigt je voorstellen binnen de interne architectuurboard (SparX).

Je werk heeft een directe impact op de dagelijkse werking van De Lijn én onrechtstreeks op het reiscomfort van honderdduizenden reizigers.

Aan welke systemen werk je mee?

Je werkt mee aan software-oplossingen voor onder meer

  • Planning van voertuig- en personeelsdiensten (middellange en korte termijn) voor het volledige aanbod van De Lijn.
  • Stelplaatsbeheer en planning van elektrische voertuigen (DMS/CMS).
  • Personeelsplanning conform CAO's (chauffeurs en andere medewerkers).
  • Opvolging, monitoring en naverwerking van de dagelijkse uitvoering.
  • Integraties binnen het bredere IT-landschap van De Lijn.

Must-haves

  • Minstens 5 jaar ervaring (medior niveau) als software architect, application architect of integration architect.
  • Ervaring met autonoom uitwerken van oplossingen en architecturale keuzes, waarbij de nadruk voornamelijk ligt op de integraie van off-the-shelf softwarepakketten.
  • Kennis van SparX EA en ArchiMate.
  • Kennis van architectuur en integratiepatronen.

Pluspunten

  • Affiniteit met of ervaring in openbaar vervoer dan wel binnen de logistieke of planningssoftware
  • Ervaring met application architecture in planning & scheduling, bij voorkeur met complexe optimalisatie-algoritmes.
  • Ervaring als brugfunctie tussen functionele en technische profielen.
