Ben jij een creatieve geest met een passie voor mechanisch productontwerp? Heb je al enkele jaren ervaring op de teller en ben je klaar voor een nieuwe uitdaging bij een bedrijf dat wereldwijd naam en faam heeft opgebouwd binnen een unieke niche? Dan hebben wij iets wat je interesse kan wekken.

Voor een vooraanstaande klant in regio Waregem zijn we op zoek naar een Mechanisch Design Engineer die zijn of haar technische knowhow wil inzetten binnen een sterk en toekomstgericht R&D-team. Deze internationale speler staat bekend om zijn kwalitatieve bouwsystemen, grotendeels gemaakt uit aluminium en metaal. De toepassingen zijn bijzonder veelzijdig en vinden hun weg naar klanten over de hele wereld.

Wat dit bedrijf echt bijzonder maakt? Hun unieke positie in een nichemarkt, waarin ze wereldwijd als referentie gelden. Vanuit de hoofdzetel in België, waar zo’n 120 collega’s werken, sturen ze alles aan. Ook in de VS zijn ze stevig verankerd, met twee vestigingen en nog eens 60 medewerkers over de oceaan. Daarbovenop werk je in een moderne, pas vernieuwde omgeving waar er ook ruimte is om te ontspannen: van pingpong en pool tot tapbiljart en darts, tijdens de middag of na de uren!

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Als Product Developer neem je de volledige ontwikkeling van een nieuw product op jou, van het eerste idee tot aan de productie
  • Samen met je team werk je aan slimme oplossingen, waarbij jij een sparringpartner bent voor drie junior collega’s in R&D
  • Je denkt mee over nieuwe materialen, technologieën en leveranciers om zo tot sterke, innovatieve producten te komen
  • Het mechanisch ontwerp van A tot Z ligt in jouw handen: jij bewaakt het technische luik
  • Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de R&D Manager, met wie je ook regelmatig ideeën en feedback uitwisselt
  • Je hebt een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Elektromechanica of Industrieel Productontwerp op zak
  • Ook heb je minstens 4 jaar ervaring in mechanische productontwikkeling
  • Binnen het bedrijf werk je met Inventor, maar ook ervaring met een ander 3D-tekenpakket is oké!
