Dierenkliniek Orion is een gerenommeerd veterinair verwijscentrum in Herentals, onderdeel van Nesto. We bouwen aan een centrum waar diergeneeskunde op het hoogste niveau samengaat met een warme, betrokken teamsfeer. Onze afdeling interne geneeskunde wordt gedragen door drie gecertificeerde dierenartsen (CSAVM/internal medicine) met ondersteuning van onze andere diensten en van onze ervaren dierverpleegkundigen.

Samen zorgen zij voor een stevige basis van kennis, ervaring, begeleiding en samenwerking.

Ter versterking van dit team zoeken we een voltijdse dierenarts interne geneeskunde die mee wil bouwen aan de verdere groei van Orion, met oog voor de lange termijn.

Reken alvast op volgende verantwoordelijkheden:

Als dierenarts Interne Geneeskunde krijg je een centrale en gevarieerde rol binnen onze dienst. Je behandelt het volledige spectrum van internistische aandoeningen.

Wat houdt de functie in?

  • Je staat in voor de diagnostiek, behandeling en opvolging van patiënten met uiteenlopende internistische aandoeningen.
  • Je krijgt de ruimte om zelf aanvullende onderzoeken uit te voeren (zoals bijvoorbeeld endoscopieën), dit afhankelijk van je ervaring en interessegebieden.
  • Je kan altijd rekenen op je ervaren en goed opgeleide collega's.
  • Je blijft nauw betrokken bij je patiënten tijdens hun hospitalisatie en volgt hun evolutie mee op. Hiervoor neem je dagelijks deel aan de patiëntenronde met de interns en hospitalisatie-dierverpleegkundigen.
  • Je kan rekenen op de expertise en ondersteuning van je collega’s (oa. ECVN en ECVS diplomates) binnen de verschillende diensten en kan rekenen op uitgebreide onderzoeks- en behandelingsmogelijkheden (chirurgie, endoscopie, CT, high-field MRI, ICU, ...)

Zo combineren we een persoonlijke opvolging van de patiënt met een sterke multidisciplinaire aanpak, waarbij we elkaar versterken in de diagnostiek en behandeling.

We zoeken een gemotiveerde teamspeler. Je neemt graag initiatief, maar zoekt evengoed actief het overleg en de samenwerking met collega's op. Je staat open voor een samenwerking met interns, studenten en dierverpleegkundigen.

Daarnaast breng je mee:

  • Een ESAVS-certificate interne geneeskunde of een gelijkwaardig diploma
  • Zin om te leren en te groeien, of net om je kennis en ervaring door te geven aan collega's
