- 12 oktober 2026 Stichting Repair Café International zoekt Stichting Repair Café International (SRCI) is de drijvende kracht achter de wereldwijde Repair Café-beweging. Onder het motto 'Weggooien? Mooi niet!'' maakt SRCI repareren laagdrempelig, sociaal en zichtbaar. De stichting helpt groepen vrijwilligers wereldwijd om zelf een Repair Café op te zetten. Daarnaast ondersteunt en verbindt SRCI Repair Cafés, deelt kennis via webinars en cursussen, verzamelt en borgt reparatiekennis, werkt mee aan onderzoek en is woordvoerder van de beweging. Sinds de start in 2009 is veel opgebouwd: een sterke inhoudelijke basis, een betrokken community, een groot netwerk en een wereldwijde uitstraling. In een aantal westerse landen is Repair Café inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een van de grootste reparatie-infrastructuren waar mensen met kapotte spullen en vragen terechtkunnen. Tegelijkertijd wordt SRCI wereldwijd gevonden voor kennis, ervaring en samenwerking (zie onze website voor een goed overzicht van onze activiteiten). De aandacht voor repareren groeit. Overheden, bedrijven en de samenleving zien steeds meer het belang van reparatie bij de omschakeling naar een duurzame en zorgzame samenleving. De oprichter en huidige directeur van de stichting doet een stap opzij en maakt ruimte voor een nieuwe directeur die SRCI naar een volgende, toekomstbestendige fase brengt. De belangrijkste opdracht daarin is om, samen met het bestuur, de oprichter en het team, een nieuwe toekomstvisie voor SRCI neer te zetten. We zoeken iemand die heldere keuzes durft te maken en deze weet te verbinden met wat in zeventien jaar zijn waarde heeft bewezen. Iemand die kan behouden wat sterk is, loslaten wat niet meer past en ruimte maakt voor wat de toekomst vraagt. Over de organisatie SRCI is een kleine, missiegedreven non-profitorganisatie met een groot netwerk en wereldwijde impact. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat reparatie, het behouden van waarde en sociale ontmoetingen...
