De organisatie 2.1 De Twentse Organisatie-UA (TAO-UA) TAO-UA is een coöperatie van en voor apothekers in Twente en directe omgeving en behartigt hun collectieve belangen. Bij de coöperatie zijn 66 apotheken aangesloten, waarin in totaal 121 apothekers werkzaam zijn. De belofte van de Twentse Organisatie-UA (TAO-UA) is 'Verbindend betere zorg'. Hiermee stellen de deelnemende openbare apothekers de samenwerking met de andere zorgverleners en andere zorgstakeholders in zowel de eersteals tweedelijnszorg centraal. Doel hiervan is het leveren van de meest optimale farmaceutische zorg aan patiënten en cliënten in het verzorgingsgebied Twente en omgeving. TAO-UA is ontstaan vanuit de landelijke ontwikkeling naar meer regionale samenwerking en zorg dichtbij huis. De nationale zorgakkoorden, de Visie Eerstelijnszorg 2030 en de opkomst van Regionale Eerstelijns Samenwerkingsverbanden (RESV's) vragen van de apothekers dat zij als thuiszorgorganisaties, ziekenhuizen, patiëntenorganisaties, zorgverzekeraars, de Samenwerkende Twente-UA (SAT-UA) en andere stakeholders.
