Voor de nieuwe Akker-Elout zijn wij op zoek naar: De context Je krijgt de unieke kans om niet een bestaande school over te nemen, maar een nieuwe school te bouwen. Twee scholen met een eigen historie, identiteit en kracht groeien de komende jaren uit tot één toekomstgerichte school voor de kinderen van Rotterdam-Zuid met één nieuw schoolgebouw. Dat vraagt om een onderwijskundig leider, cultuurbouwer en verandermanager die verder kijkt dan beheer en exploitatie en blijvend verschil wil maken voor leerlingen, medewerkers en de wijk. PCBO werkt toe naar de samenvoeging van basisschool De Akker en CBS Elout van Soeterwoude. Beide scholen groeien uit tot één sterke, toekomstgerichte school in de Tarwewijk op Rotterdam- Zuid. De gezamenlijke ambitie is betekenisvol onderwijs voor ieder kind, met een sterke basis, professionele kracht, verbinding met ouders en de wijk en een organisatie die het onderwijs optimaal ondersteunt. De richting is helder: één school, één organisatie en één team onder één leiding. De nieuwe school wordt gebouwd vanuit gelijkwaardigheid en met oog voor de kracht, historie en ontwikkelfase van beide scholen. De samenvoeging is daarmee nadrukkelijk meer dan een organisatorische operatie. Het is een onderwijskundige, culturele en maatschappelijke ontwikkelopgave.
