De Wegwijzer in Kockengen is een protestants-christelijke basisschool die stevig staat. De onderwijskwaliteit is goed, de school is trots op haar resultaten en er is de afgelopen periode gericht gewerkt aan verdere professionalisering van de ondersteuningsstructuur. Vanuit deze basis ligt er een mooie opdracht voor een nieuwe directeur om samen met het team de volgende stappen te zetten. Als directeur geef je vanuit een heldere visie richting aan de verdere ontwikkeling van het onderwijs. Je sluit aan bij wat goed gaat en weet samen met het team focus aan te brengen in wat nog nodig is. Een onderdeel hiervan is bijvoorbeeld de integrale aanpak m.b.t. taalonderwijs. Ook in de professionele cultuur ligt een heldere behoefte. Medewerkers van De Wegwijzer zetten zich met veel betrokkenheid en energie in voor de school. Van de nieuwe directeur wordt verwacht dat deze betrokkenheid wordt gekoesterd én dat de aanspreekcultuur verder wordt versterkt. Om dit waar te kunnen maken is een benaderbare houding essentieel, maar ook durft om te begrenzen, verwachtingen uit te spreken en kaders neer te zetten.
