director tech. retail, amsterdam Voor een van de grootste retail ketens van Nederland sta jij aan het roer! Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor de innovatie op het gebied van de retail technologie. Word jij onze nieuwe Director Tech? director tech De Director Tech duikt diep in de technische kernprocessen. Zij/hij update ze, stuurt alle legacy de deur uit, investeert in toekomstbestendige systemen om deze vervolgens met elkaar te integreren. Al met al zorgt de Director Technology ervoor dat er een IT-landschap komt dat compleet aansluit op het commerciële doel, namelijk: daar zijn waar de klant is. Naast het investeren in tech voor de langere termijn zorgt de Director Tech altijd voor een 'reliable run' omgeving. Dit houdt in dat zij/hij het platform zo slim inricht, dat de kans op storingen vrijwel verwaarloosbaar is. En mochten deze onverhoopt toch optreden, online of in de winkel? Dan weet zij/hij deze binnen no time op te lossen. Creatief denken vanuit een test-and-learn approach is voor deze rol een must. De Director Technology zit in het MT en opereert zelfstandig, maar werkt tegelijkertijd nauw samen met het moederbedrijf. Een synergie die deze rol extra interessant maakt. Het onderling delen en schalen van techniek is waar de Director Tech veel mee te maken krijgt. Om een duidelijk beeld te krijgen in de investeringen op tech-gebied, ontwikkelt de Director Tech een tech-roadmap voor de lange termijn en realiseert deze. De businessroadmap is daarentegen leidend, maar niet altijd afgestemd met IT. De Director Technology wordt dus continu uitgedaagd om ook vanuit deze map de juiste technische prioriteiten te stellen. Zij/hij staat daarom stevig in de schoenen, kan goed het overzicht bewaren en denkt vanuit een can-do-mentaliteit. Om de gewenste innovatieve retailtechnologie tot leven te brengen, leidt de Director Techology een team van 20-25 fte en stuurt deze de partners uit het Tech Partner Ecosysteem aan.
