Doktersassistent Werken als doktersassistent? Reken maar dat je je niet verveelt. Je start de dag met je collega's, loopt samen de agenda door, neemt telefoontjes aan en verwelkomt patiënten. Daarna loopt alles door elkaar: consulten begeleiden, de arts helpen, praktische zaken regelen. En dan ineens: een spoedgeval, een uitslag of een vraag die meteen opgepakt moet worden. Zo vliegt jouw werkdag voorbij en merk je hoe onmisbaar jij bent voor patiënten en collega's. Jouw werkdag Je dag begint met de telefoon. Patiënten bellen met uiteenlopende vragen: van een onschuldige verkoudheid tot een spoedgeval. Jij luistert, stelt gerichte vragen en beoordeelt wat er nodig is - een advies, een afspraak of overleg met de regiearts in de backoffice. Terwijl de ochtend op gang komt, help je mensen aan de balie met het maken van afspraken of beantwoorden van vragen over hun behandeling, medicatie of uitslagen. Heb je tussendoor even ruimte? Dan verwerk je onderzoeksuitslagen, correspondentie en administratie. Je houdt de agenda's van huisartsen en praktijkondersteuners overzichtelijk, zodat zij de juiste informatie hebben en niet verdwalen in hun agenda's. 's Middags heb je je eigen spreekuur. Je voert zelfstandig kleine medische handelingen uit, zoals bloeddruk meten, oren uitspuiten, hechtingen verwijderen of uitstrijkjes maken. Tussendoor overleg je waar nodig met de huisarts en stem je af met collega's.
