Als donor-arts voer je keuringen en intakegesprekken uit, bespreek je medicatiegebruik, gezondheid en relevante voorgeschiedenis en neem je het medische besluit. De richtlijnen geven houvast, maar jouw klinische blik bepaalt hoe je een situatie beoordeelt. Zie je een mogelijk risico voor donor of ontvanger, dan vraag je door, weeg je de informatie af en leg je jouw besluit duidelijk uit. Tijdens het donatieproces ben je het medische aanspreekpunt op de afnamelocatie. Je beoordeelt klachten of reacties, begeleidt donors wanneer dat nodig is en ondersteunt collega's bij medische vragen. Ook houd je zicht op de kwaliteit van donorkeuringen en denk je mee over verbeteringen, scholing en projecten. Je werkt op verschillende locaties in de regio. De reistijd vanaf je woonadres is maximaal ongeveer 1 uur. Nachtwerk hoort niet bij deze functie en de weekendbelasting is beperkt.
