Een wereldwijd logistiek bedrijf dat ook in België actief is. Vanuit hun Belgische vestigingen, met name in Antwerpen en Brussel, biedt deze partner logistieke diensten aan zoals vrachtvervoer (zowel luchtvracht als zeevracht), douaneafhandeling, opslag, distributie en supply chain-oplossingen. Het bedrijf ondersteunt bedrijven in verschillende sectoren, waaronder farmaceutica, automotive, technologie en detailhandel, met maatwerkoplossingen om hun goederen efficiënt en veilig te transporteren.

Jobomschrijving

Wij zijn op zoek naar een Customs Brokerage Agent om ons logistieke team te versterken.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Voorbereiden, beoordelen en verwerken van import- en exportdocumentatie, inclusief douaneaangiften en tariefklassen.
  • Coördineren met douaneautoriteiten en andere regelgevende instanties om problemen op te lossen die zich kunnen voordoen tijdens het inklaringsproces.
  • Communiceren met klanten om de nodige verzendinformatie te verzamelen, hen te voorzien van updates en hun vragen over douaneprocessen op te lossen.
  • Classificeren van goederen volgens douanecodes en nauwkeurig bijhouden van transacties en bijbehorende kosten.
  • Volgen van en rapporteren over zendingstatussen en zorgen voor tijdige vrijgave en levering.
  • Op de hoogte blijven van wijzigingen in douaneregelgeving, import-/exportbeperkingen en gerelateerd beleid om de naleving te handhaven.
  • Samenwerken met interne teams (zoals logistiek, verkoop en klantenservice) om een naadloze operationele stroom te garanderen.

Wat wordt er van je verwacht?

  • Bij voorkeur heb je een hoger diploma in een relevante richting.
  • Uitstekende kennis van het Engels en Nederlands.
  • Je hebt 2-3 jaar ervaring in douane-expeditie, logistiek of een aanverwant gebied.
  • Je beschikt eventueel over een ‘Customs brokerage licentie’ of certificering.
  • Je bent reeds bekend met douanewetgeving, import-/exportvoorschriften en documentatievereisten.
  • Je bent computervaardig en kunt vlot overweg met MS Office.
  • Je bent oplossingsgericht en behandelt elk onderdeel van je job met de nodige nauwkeurigheid.
