The posting

Onze klant is een transportbedrijf. Hiervoor zijn wij op zoek naar een ervaren douanedeclarant.

Je zorgt voor de tijdige en nauwkeurige indiening van de douaneaangiften, zodat de goederen voldoen aan de geldende douanewetten en -voorschriften. Je doet er alles aan om eventuele vertragingen in het proces van een douane-afhandeling te voorkomen om zo eventuele boetes en sancties te vermijden. Jouw collega declaranten kan je begeleiden op basis van jouw opgebouwde expertise.

 Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van nauwkeurige en volledige douaneaangiften voor alle import-, export en doorvoertransacties. Je zorgt ervoor dat relevante douanewet- en regelgeving wordt nageleefd;  Het berekenen van douanerechten en belastingen (welke van toepassing zijn op goederen die worden geïmporteerd) behoort tot jouw verantwoordelijkheid. Je zorgt tevens voor de naleving van tariefvoorschriften;  Alle ondersteunende documenten worden door jou gecontroleerd, dit met betrekking tot import, export en doorvoer. Het gaat daarbij over facturen, vrachtbrieven en certificaten van oorsprong;  Je identificeert en rapporteert potentiële risico’s of afwijkingen in douaneaangiften en werkt nauw samen met andere teamleden om informatie te delen en elkaar te ondersteunen waar nodig;  Je streeft actief naar verbetering van douanekennis en -vaardigheden, je leert graag bij van onze senior douane declaranten en blijft graag op de hoogte van wijzigingen in douaneregelgeving.  Je hebt een streepje voor indien je een douaneopleiding genoten hebt en deze kennis intussen omgezet hebt binnen een douane-afdeling (minstens 5 jaar ervaring), je kan je onderscheiden van andere douanedeclaranten op basis van je opgebouwde expertise;  De douanewetgeving is door jou gekend of heeft jouw interesse gewekt. Zo hebt je tevens kennis van douane technische begrippen, Incoterms, Tarbel, Free trade agreements, douanewaarde, herkomst & oorsprong, …;  Je staat te popelen om verdere kennis op te doen i.v.m. het uitstellen van import/export/transit documenten, inslag en uitslag van particulier en/of publiek entrepot, accijnswetgeving (accijnsentrepot, accijnsinrichting), alsook om jouw kennis te delen met collega’s en hen hierin te begeleiden;  Je hebt een goede kennis van douaneapplicaties (PLDA/NCTS/EMCS);  Je bent communicatief sterk en kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Engels (zowel gesproken als geschreven), kennis van een andere taal is zeker een pluspunt;  Volgende eigenschappen typeren jou: punctueel, stressbestendig, klantgericht, leergierig, flexibel en discreet.
