Deze werkgever, actief in de chemische sector, maakt deel uit van een Amerikaanse industriële groep met meer dan 5000 medewerkers wereldwijd. In België telt de vestiging nabij Gent een 100-tal medewerkers, waarvan een 60-tal bedienden en 40-tal arbeiders. Sinds de jaren ’60 zijn ze actief in ons land en sindsdien uitgegroeid tot een vaste waarde in hun nichemarkt.

Het bedrijf ontwikkelt en produceert B2B spuitbussen met chemische producten zoals reinigers, smeermiddelen, coatings, lijmen en ontvetters. Deze worden ingezet bij onderhoud en herstellingen in uiteenlopende sectoren zoals automotive, elektronica en andere industriële toepassingen. Ze mengen ook zelf bepaalde chemische producten en exporteren hun producten internationaal, onder meer naar het VK en Zuid-Afrika.

Je komt terecht in een stabiele, internationale omgeving met familiale verankering, waar veiligheid centraal staat en waar ruimte is voor eigen inbreng. Het onderhoudsteam bestaat uit een mix van ervaren collega’s en technische begeleiding, met wie je samen zorgt voor het optimaal functioneren van de installaties.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Als technieker ben je verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van onderhoudswerken aan installaties binnen de productieomgeving
  • Je voert interventies uit bij storingen, zowel elektrisch als op vlak van meet- en regeltechniek
  • Je begeleidt de ingebruikname van nieuwe installaties samen met de betrokken collega’s
  • Uitvoeren van montagewerken en herstellingen uit op de elektrische installaties
  • Preventief onderhoud zit mee in je takenpakket, met focus op veiligheid en nauwkeurigheid
  • Je werkt actief mee aan technische verbeterprojecten op de werkvloer
  • Meestal werk je in team, maar je schrikt er niet voor terug om zelfstandig beslissingen te nemen
  • Je beschikt bij voorkeur over een bachelor Elektromechanica, of een gelijkwaardige technische richting
  • Een eerste werkervaring is mooi meegenomen, maar gemotiveerde schoolverlaters komen zeker ook in aanmerking
  • Uitstekende kennis van het Nederlands is noodzakelijk om correct te communiceren rond veiligheidsprocedures
