Vacancy: Mattress Workshop Employee Zwaagdijk-Oost, the Netherlands · hours by arrangement Have you ever seen a mattress that fits exactly into a cabin without a single right angle? We make them. For more than thirty years, by hand, in our atelier in Zwaagdijk-Oost. Motor yachts, sailing yachts and now and then a superyacht you secretly dream about. No two mattresses are the same, and that is exactly why this work never becomes routine. And that is where we are looking for you. You do not need experience. What you do need is a feel for materials, a willingness to learn and a little pride in what comes out of your hands. Our craftspeople will happily teach you the rest. What you will be doing You take part in the whole process, from drawing to finished mattress. Sometimes you start at the template, sometimes you are in the middle of the finishing, and now and then you are the first to notice that something is not quite right, and you fix it before it becomes a problem. In practice this means: - Reading and checking drawings, templates and dimensions - Laying out and preparing materials - Assembling mattress covers and toppers - Working with base fabrics, borders and covers - Fitting, checking and finishing mattresses until they are exactly right - Spotting and correcting deviations - Packing products and preparing them for dispatch - Keeping your workplace and tools tidy - Coordinating with colleagues in production, upholstery and work preparation No two days are the same, and you will notice that. Who fits in well here Someone who likes practical work and values quality over speed. In bespoke work every centimetre counts, and you enjoy that rather than find it tiresome.
