Als Engineering Manager geef je richting aan een ervaren engineeringteam en zorg je dat onze Hoog Seveso-site technisch veilig, wettelijk conform en toekomstbestendig blijft.

Wat deze rol inhoudt

  • Je combineert verantwoordelijkheid voor technische governance binnen het engineeringdomein met people management. Je zet de technische koers uit en borgt dat installaties, projecten en wijzigingen voldoen aan Seveso-verplichtingen, wettelijke vereisten en interne technische standaarden. Tegelijk ontwikkel je het team en versterk je het compliance- en veiligheidsbewustzijn.
  • Je coacht en ontwikkelt technische professionals, geeft duidelijke prioriteiten en stimuleert eigenaarschap en samenwerking.
  • Je bent zichtbaar op de site, kent de installaties en vertaalt operationele uitdagingen snel naar doeltreffende technische oplossingen.
  • Je bepaalt de technische roadmap, vertaalt de Operations-prioriteiten naar een jaarplan en CAPEX/OPEX-budget en leidt investerings- en verbeterprojecten van businesscase tot oplevering, binnen scope, timing en budget.
  • Je beheert technische standaarden, systemen, documentatie, budgetten en prestaties. Op basis van incidenten, audits, performantiegegevens en technische risico’s bepaal je verbeterprioriteiten en veranker je die in processen, instructies en governance.
  • Je bent technisch eigenaar van compliance binnen het engineeringdomein op onze Seveso-site. Samen met Safety borg je MOC, technische input voor HAZOP en LOPA, audits en wettelijke keuringen. Je zorgt dat technische beheers- en verbetermaatregelen tijdig worden gerealiseerd.
  • Je verbindt Engineering met ondermeer Productie, Maintenance, Safety, Procurement en Finance. Je adviseert de Operations Director over technische risico’s, compliance-acties, investeringen en projectkeuzes en rapporteert helder over voortgang, budgetten en relevante KPI’s.
  • Je stuurt leveranciers, aannemers en technische partners aan en bewaakt kwaliteit, veiligheid en uitvoering.

Je bent een technisch geloofwaardige leider die richting geeft zonder alles zelf over te nemen. Je stelt scherpe vragen, neemt onderbouwde beslissingen en laat de expertise van je team maximaal renderen.

  • Een master in een technische of wetenschappelijke richting, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Minstens 7 jaar relevante ervaring in engineering, technische projecten of maintenance binnen een productie- of procesomgeving.
  • Sterke ervaring met technische compliance en procesveiligheid in een Seveso-omgeving of een vergelijkbare omgeving met een hoog risicoprofiel, inclusief MOC, HAZOP/LOPA, audits en wettelijke keuringen.
  • Ervaring met investerings- en verbeterprojecten, inclusief businesscases, planning, budget en externe partners.
  • Aantoonbare ervaring in coachend leidinggeven aan technische professionals, met duidelijke verwachtingen en respect voor hun autonomie.
