Wij zoeken een ergotherapeut met oog voor het dagelijks leven voor Sirius 2, een afdeling waar we ouderen begeleiden die kampen met stemmings-, angst- en psychotische stoornissen. We bieden crisisopvang én een warme, veilige omgeving waar herstel en veerkracht centraal staan.

Elke dag help je ouderen om opnieuw grip te krijgen op hun dagelijks leven. Samen met hen ontdek je wat ze (weer) kunnen en wat voor hen betekenisvol is. Zo versterk je stap voor stap hun zelfredzaamheid, hun dagstructuur en hun levenskwaliteit. Dat doe je niet alleen: samen met je collega's van het interdisciplinaire team bouw je aan een warme, professionele zorgomgeving waar de patiënt écht centraal staat.

Ouderenpsychiatrie is veelzijdig en uitdagend: je observeert en ondersteunt het dagelijks handelen, zet in op zinvolle dagbesteding en dagelijkse vaardigheden, en bereidt patiënten mee voor op een veilige terugkeer naar huis. Hier krijg je de kans om je expertise te verdiepen en écht impact te maken.

Functieprofiel

Als ergotherapeut:

  • Ga je samen met de patiënt na wat in het dagelijks leven nog mogelijk is, wat moeilijk loopt en wat betekenisvol is. Op basis van gerichte observatie en assessments stel je haalbare doelen op.
  • Begeleid je individuele en groepsactiviteiten rond dagelijkse en huishoudelijke vaardigheden, dagstructuur en zinvolle dagbesteding. Je stemt die af op het behandelplan en de interesses van de patiënt.
  • Versterk je de zelfredzaamheid en autonomie van ouderen. Je zoekt telkens het evenwicht tussen ondersteunen en loslaten, ook wanneer cognitieve beperkingen meespelen.
  • Bereid je patiënten mee voor op een veilige terugkeer naar huis. Je bekijkt de thuissituatie, adviseert rond hulpmiddelen en aanpassingen, en betrekt het sociaal netwerk en zorgpartners.
  • Werk je interdisciplinair en breng je je ergotherapeutische blik actief in tijdens overleg. Je deelt je observaties, denkt mee over het behandelplan en kent de meerwaarde van de andere disciplines.
  • Ben je flexibel, creatief en communicatief sterk. Je gaat respectvol en positief om met patiënten en collega's, ook in crisissituaties.
  • Heb je een lerende houding. Je staat open voor feedback, geeft die ook zelf op een opbouwende manier, en neemt actief deel aan intervisie.
