The posting

Als ergotherapeut(e) sta je in voor het ontwikkelen, verbeteren en in stand houden van de vaardigheden nodig voor het dagelijks functioneren van de patiënt, zodoende de zelfredzaamheid van de patiënt te behouden of te verbeteren.

We kijken momenteel uit naar een ergotherapeut(e) die aan de slag zal gaan op onze dienst SP Chronische.

De dienst SP chronische is een afdeling die voorziet in de behandeling van 24 patiënten.

De dienst werkt multidisciplinair samen om de fysieke, psychische en het sociaal potentieel bij de patiënten op een zo hoog mogelijk peil te houden of te brengen in functie van het ontslag naar huis, revalidatiecentrum, hersteloord, serviceflat, WZC of naar de palliatieve eenheid.

Het chronische aspect van de afdeling zorgt voor een gevarieerde patiëntenpopulatie. Patiënten komen steeds van een andere hospitalisatiedienst binnen het ziekenhuis naar de afdeling voor verlengde hospitalisatie omdat dit vanuit een medisch of sociaal aspect nog nodig is.

Op dit moment is de dienst SP Chronische gevestigd op campus Groenebriel (AZ Sint-Lucas). In het kader van de fusie tussen AZ Jan Palfijn en AZ Sint-Lucas maak je begin 2027 de overstap naar campus Watersportlaan (AZ Jan Palfijn). Je krijgt zo de unieke kans om actief mee te bouwen aan de verdere ontwikkeling van deze dienst binnen een vernieuwde ziekenhuisomgeving.

Wat zijn jouw taken?

- Je neemt assessments (screening, onderzoek en observaties) af bij de patiënten om de vaardigheden en beperkingen / stoornissen te identificeren. Nadien evalueer je de resultaten - Je werkt, in overleg met het multidisciplinair team een ergotherapeutisch behandelingsprogramma uit - Je verleent advies aan de afdeling m.b.t. het behandelen en positioneren van de patiënt - Je behandelt de patiënt volgens de vooropgestelde therapie, leert de patiënt technieken of het gebruik van bepaalde hulpmiddelen aan, verleent advies aan de patiënt en diens omgeving - Je evalueert de effecten van de behandeling / therapie, stuurt bij waar nodig en je rapporteert hierover - Je verleent advies i.k.v. ontslagvoorbereiding - Je neemt deel aan multidisciplinaire vergaderingen - Je voert een aantal administratieve taken uit m.b.t. de uitgevoerde behandelingen, activiteiten, assessment, testen, ontslagdocument, …

- Je bent bachelor in de ergotherapie - Je hebt een passie voor jouw vak en je hebt een hart voor de oudere zorgvrager - Je bent empathisch ingesteld - Je bent communicatief sterk - Je kan omgaan met werkdruk, kan het overzicht bewaren en prioriteiten stellen - Je bent in staat om snel te anticiperen op veranderingen en past je planning aan - Een probleemsituatie brengt je niet van de wijs, je analyseert de situatie en gaat verder aan de slag
