The posting

Je zoekt geen job waarbij elke dag hetzelfde verloopt. Je wilt op pad, problemen oplossen en tegelijk een technische specialisatie opbouwen. Als bedwantsspecialist onderzoek je besmettingen, voer je warmtebehandelingen uit en zorg je ervoor dat klanten weten wat nodig is om bedwantsen definitief onder controle te krijgen.

Ervaring met bedwantsen is niet nodig. Je krijgt een grondige interne opleiding en groeit uit tot specialist in een niche waarin techniek, nauwkeurigheid en zelfstandig werken samenkomen.

Wat ga je doen? Je vertrekt van thuis uit en krijgt een flexibele planning. Je bezoekt klanten in Noord-West-Vlaanderen en werkt onder andere in hotels, hostels, zorginstellingen en opvangcentra. Jouw werk bestaat uit:

  • Kamers en gebouwen grondig inspecteren op de aanwezigheid van bedwantsen
  • Je bevindingen analyseren en de besmettingssituatie correct inschatten
  • Klanten duidelijk uitleggen wat je vaststelt en welke behandeling nodig is
  • Klanten adviseren over de voorbereiding en preventie van nieuwe besmettingen
  • Bedwantsen behandelen met verschillende technieken
  • Warmtebehandelingen uitvoeren en de meetresultaten nauwkeurig opvolgen
  • De nodige toestellen en tools correct installeren en bedienen
  • Controles en eventuele nabehandelingen uitvoeren
  • Ook buiten de normale werkuren verantwoordelijk blijven voor lopende installaties wanneer dat nodig is
  • Je kennis delen met collega's en het aanspreekpunt worden voor complexere bedwantsendossiers
  • Op de hoogte blijven van nieuwe technieken en ontwikkelingen binnen de bestrijding

Je werkt dus niet volgens een simpel stappenplan. Je onderzoekt eerst het probleem, bepaalt de juiste aanpak en volgt het resultaat nauwgezet op.

Waar ga je werken? Je komt terecht bij een gespecialiseerde technische dienstverlener die bedrijven en organisaties helpt om gebouwen vrij te houden van ongedierte en andere ongewenste plagen. Voor bedwantsen wordt gewerkt met verschillende professionele bestrijdingstechnieken, waaronder warmtebehandelingen. Je krijgt de kans om je hierin grondig te specialiseren en mee te evolueren met nieuwe technieken.

Je werkt grotendeels zelfstandig op locatie, maar staat er niet alleen voor. Je overlegt met planners, collega's en het salesteam en wordt binnen de organisatie een echte kennisdrager voor bedwantsenbestrijding.

Je hoeft vandaag nog geen specialist in bedwantsen te zijn. Belangrijker is dat je technisch inzicht hebt, zelfstandig kunt werken en graag bijleert. Je herkent jezelf hierin:

  • Je hebt een technische of praktische achtergrond en werkt graag met je handen
  • Je kunt zelfstandig je werk organiseren en verantwoordelijkheid nemen
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en volgt procedures correct
  • Je hebt geen probleem met fysiek werk, ook niet in warme omstandigheden
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en kunt je in het Frans op basisniveau uitdrukken
  • Je bent klantgericht en professioneel in je communicatie
  • Je past je gemakkelijk aan naar werkuren en verplaatsingen
  • Je vindt het vanzelfsprekend om vertrouwelijk en discreet om te gaan met gevoelige situaties
  • Je bent bereid om nieuwe technieken te leren en je kennis up-to-date te houden
  • Je kunt technische informatie correct lezen en toepassen
