Voor onze klant, gespecialiseerd in transport zijn we op zoek naar een Expediteur. Als Expediteur ben je verantwoordelijk dat het bedrijf haar doelen kan bereiken door de logistieke flow in goede banen te leiden. Je werkt nauw samen met collega’s van het expeditie team alsook met de sales -en documentatie diensten binnen het bedrijf. Zo zal je instaan voor:

  • Het ontvangen en registreren van nieuwe orders in de bedrijfssoftware
  • Plaatsen van boekingen bij onderaannemers (wegtransport, zeevervoer, douane, e.d.)
  • De coördinatie van de logistieke flow zodat deze optimaal verloopt zowel inzake winst maximalisatie, efficiëntie en klanttevredenheid.
  • De dagdagelijkse communicatie met klanten, de laad-en losplaatsen, de rederijen alsook onze eigen agenten en kantoren in zowel de laadhavens als op Afrikaanse bodem
  • Het opmaken/voorzien van de nodige documentatie in samenwerking met de documentatie afdeling
  • Een nauwgezette opvolging van de logistieke flow en zeker ook de doorvoer in Afrika zelf met wekelijkse rapportering aan de klant wat betreft de positie van hun zending
  • Kwaliteitscontrole van onze service naar de klant toe: vertragingen (waarom), ongevallen, enz.
  • Wekelijkse opvolging van de betalingen conform de betalingsvoorwaarden die in de offerte staan: rapportering aan de sales afdeling en de operations manager bij achterstallige betalingen
  • In het oog houden van het volume van een regelmatige klant en erop toezien dat frequente leveranciers en goederen blijven komen: het opvragen van informatie en doorspelen hiervan aan de sales en operations manager indien er zich problemen en opportuniteiten moesten stellen
  • Vastleggen van gemaakte kosten en opbrengsten - tijdige en correcte facturatie

We zijn op zoek naar een enthousiaste en gedreven Expediteur die past in het volgende profiel:

  • Sympathiek met een gezonde dosis energie: Je straalt positiviteit uit en haalt energie uit je werk.
  • Ervaren intermodaal expediteur: Je hebt bewezen ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie, bij voorkeur in cross-trade, en kennis van zeevracht is onmisbaar.
  • Klantgericht en ambitieus: Je doet graag dat beetje extra om klanten tevreden te stellen en hebt een sterke drang om te excelleren.
  • Flexibel en stressbestendig: Je houdt het hoofd koel in drukke situaties en past je gemakkelijk aan veranderende omstandigheden aan.
  • Initiatiefnemer met drive: Je neemt verantwoordelijkheid en bent altijd op zoek naar manieren om jezelf en het bedrijf verder te ontwikkelen.
  • Taalvaardig: Je beheerst Nederlands perfect, hebt een zeer goede kennis van Frans en een goede beheersing van het Engels.
  • Fascinatie voor Afrika: Je hebt een bijzondere interesse in het Afrikaanse continent, wat je drijft in je werk.
