Prolander voert projecten uit voor de provincies Drenthe en Groningen. Binnen de organisatie wordt voor projectplanning momenteel gewerkt met Microsoft Project. Daarnaast wordt gewerkt aan verdere ontwikkeling van datagedreven werken, onder andere met Microsoft Fabric en Power BI. De financiële gegevens van projecten zijn inmiddels ontsloten vanuit Planning & Control. De wens is om deze gegevens te combineren met planningsinformatie. Hiervoor is Microsoft Project Web App ingericht. Omdat deze toepassing door Microsoft wordt uitgefaseerd, wordt onderzocht welke oplossing passend is voor de toekomstige ondersteuning van projectplanning en rapportage. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations is daarbij als mogelijke oplossingsrichting genoemd. Opdracht De opdracht richt zich op het beoordelen van de toepasbaarheid van Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations binnen de huidige en gewenste werkwijze van Prolander.
