The posting

Als fiber technieker ga je dagelijks op pad om glasvezelkabels te installeren en af te werken bij bedrijven. Je takenpakket bestaat uit het lassen (fusion splicing) van kabels, het monteren van aansluitingen (FTTH/FTTB) en het uitvoeren van verschillende metingen met OTDR en powermeter. Je spoort storingen op en zorgt voor een correcte afhandeling. Je dag begint om 8u op de werf, waar je samen met je collega’s de planning bespreekt. Je werkt door tot 16u of 16u30 op diverse projecten die zich maximaal 60 à 70 km van je woonplaats bevinden. Je leest technische schema’s, monteert patchpanelen en rapporteert je werk digitaal via tablet of smartphone. Klantencontact is hierbij een belangrijk onderdeel.   • Je beschikt over technisch inzicht en hebt een basiskennis elektriciteit of telecom
  • Hoger secundair onderwijs (BSO, TSO, ASO) afgerond
  • Je kan technische plannen lezen en interpreteren
  • Zelfstandig en nauwkeurig werken is voor jou vanzelfsprekend
  • Je hebt een rijbewijs B
  • Goede beheersing van het Nederlands, kennis van Frans of Engels is een pluspunt
  • Je bent fysiek in staat om buiten te werken, op hoogte en bij verschillende weersomstandigheden
  • Klantvriendelijkheid en een professionele houding zijn voor jou belangrijk
  • Ervaring als fiber-, telecom- of elektricienstechnieker is mooi meegenomen, maar niet vereist
  • Je staat open om bij te leren en certificaten te behalen
  • Certificaten zoals VCA, BA4/BA5 of hoogtewerker zijn een extra troef
  • Ervaring met FTTH-, FTTO- of backboneprojecten is een plus
