Dat je waarschijnlijk gebruikmaakt van de diensten van het interconnectieplatform van AMS-IX. Hun toonaangevende platform in Amsterdam en meerdere interconnectieplatforms wereldwijd spelen al meer dan 30 jaar een cruciale rol in het internet en vormen een van de grootste knooppunten voor internetverkeer ter wereld. Het bedrijf bevindt zich op een interessant kantelpunt. De basis is sterk en stabiel, maar de organisatie kijkt steeds nadrukkelijker naar hoe ze haar positie verder kan uitbouwen met nieuwe producten en diensten. Als Finance Manager rapporteer je rechtstreeks aan de CFO en geef je leiding aan het finance team van drie Financial Controllers en een Business Controller. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit en continuïteit van de financiële functie, maar bent tegelijkertijd zelf ook echt onderdeel van de operatie. De rol draait dus niet alleen om aansturen en delegeren: je duikt zelf de cijfers in, werkt met de systemen en pakt inhoudelijke vraagstukken op wanneer dat nodig is. Een belangrijk onderdeel van de functie is het verder structureren en professionaliseren van Finance. AMS-IX is momenteel bezig met de implementatie van Exact Online en dat is hét moment om bestaande processen en procedures opnieuw tegen het licht te houden. Je beoordeelt wat nog aansluit bij de huidige organisatie en systemen, brengt waar nodig verbeteringen aan en zorgt dat processen goed worden ingericht en geborgd. Daarbij ben je continu op zoek naar manieren om slimmer, efficiënter en waar mogelijk meer geautomatiseerd te werken. Je bent daarnaast verantwoordelijk voor de financial control en reporting en zorgt dat de financiële basis op orde is. Je bewaakt de kwaliteit van de cijfers, coördineert de maandafsluiting en ondersteunt de CFO...
