Ben jij een ervaren Financial Controller die graag verder kijkt dan rapporteringen en analyses? Heb je naast controlling ook een stevige basis binnen accounting en ben je bereid om zelf operationele accountingactiviteiten op te nemen wanneer de opdracht daarom vraagt?

Voor verschillende organisaties zijn we op zoek naar Senior Financial Controllers die hun expertise willen inzetten binnen projectmatige opdrachten en tijdelijke finance teams.

Deze functie is bewust een combinatie van controlling en accounting. Je hoeft dus niet alleen sterk te zijn in analyses en rapportering, maar voelt je ook comfortabel bij het operationele luik van finance.

Jobomschrijving

Als Financial Controller combineer je controllingactiviteiten met accounting.

Afhankelijk van de opdracht kunnen je verantwoordelijkheden onder andere bestaan uit:

  • Opvolgen en analyseren van financiële resultaten en KPI's.
  • Opstellen en interpreteren van managementrapporteringen.
  • Voorbereiden van budgetten, forecasts en financiële analyses.
  • Uitvoeren van variantieanalyses en adviseren over financiële afwijkingen.
  • Ondersteunen bij maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen.
  • Uitvoeren en controleren van balansreconciliaties.
  • Boeken en controleren van journal entries.
  • Ondersteunen bij de algemene boekhouding en andere accountingactiviteiten.
  • Voorbereiden van financiële rapporteringen voor management en andere stakeholders.
  • Meewerken aan procesoptimalisaties en verbetertrajecten.
  • Ondersteunen bij audits, ERP-implementaties, migraties of andere finance projecten.
  • Tijdelijk versterken van bestaande finance teams en snel je weg vinden binnen nieuwe organisaties, systemen en processen.

Waarom deze combinatie?

Als Financial Controller krijg je de kans om jouw controllingexpertise te combineren met een sterke operationele accountingbasis.

Je bent niet iemand die enkel rapporten analyseert vanop afstand, maar begrijpt ook hoe de cijfers tot stand komen. Afhankelijk van het project kan de verhouding tussen controlling en accounting verschillen. Soms ligt de focus meer op reporting en analyses, terwijl je in een andere opdracht ook actief meewerkt aan de boekhouding en afsluitingen.

Die combinatie maakt je inzetbaar binnen verschillende finance-omgevingen en zorgt ervoor dat je een brede kijk op de financiële werking van een organisatie ontwikkelt.

  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring
  • Je hebt ervaring als Financial Controller én hebt een stevige accountingbasis.
  • Je hebt ervaring met operationele accountingactiviteiten en bent bereid deze ook effectief op te nemen binnen een project.
  • Je beschikt bij voorkeur over een graduaats- of bachelordiploma in Accountancy-Fiscaliteit, Finance, Boekhouden of een gelijkaardige richting.
  • Je hebt ervaring met maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen.
  • Je bent sterk in financiële analyses, rapportering en het interpreteren van cijfers.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van algemene boekhoudkundige principes.
  • Je bent analytisch, nauwkeurig en gestructureerd.
  • Je kan zelfstandig verantwoordelijkheid opnemen en denkt proactief mee.
  • Je past je vlot aan aan nieuwe organisaties, systemen en werkwijzen.
  • Je bent hands-on en vindt het geen probleem om naast controlling ook operationele accountingtaken op te nemen.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en Engels. Kennis van het Frans is een pluspunt.
  • Je staat open voor verschillende projecten en werkomgevingen.
  • Ervaring met verschillende ERP-systemen is een plus.
