The organization operates a modern fleet of highly specialized vessels and is headquartered near Rotterdam, with multiple offices across the globe. Procurement The procurement team is led by the Purchasing Manager, who leads 4 teams: - Fleet Procurement Contracting, Unit Head of Procurement Contracts with 7 tactical buyers and this vacancy, and 5 data specialists - Fleet Procurement, Unit Head of Fleet Procurement with 9 buyers - Project Contracting, Unit Head of Project Contracting with 8 Contract Engineers - Projects Procurement, Team Head of Project Procurement with 5 project buyers Over the past six years, Procurement has taken major steps forward. Most high-value MRO categories are now under contract, leading to a substantial reduction in the supplier base and far better spend control. Procurement's impact is increasingly recognized across the business, and collaboration with operations has improved. However, significant upside remains: only 40% of consumables and spare parts are currently purchased under existing agreements, while the majority is still sourced ad-hoc by operations. This presents a clear opportunity to further drive compliance, reduce costs and enhance operational reliability. What will you do?
