The posting

Wat ga je doen? Als bezoeker/ster bezoek je wekelijks voor een hele dag het detentiecentrum in Brugge. Een verdere hele dag werk ik in ons kantoor in Brussel.

Tijdens een bezoek: ga je in gesprek met personen in detentie, bied je een luisterend oor en sociale ondersteuning; geef je, waar mogelijk, praktische en/of eerste lijn juridische informatie; vraag je, wanneer iemand dit wenst, een mandaat om hun dossier bij DVZ in te kijken en hun verder op te volgen; vorm je de brug met andere partners buiten het detentiecentrum; heb je aandacht voor de leefomstandigheden van de mensen in detentie en de naleving van hun fundamentele rechten; ontmoet je de directie van het detentiecentrum van Brugge;

Na een bezoek : maak je een kort schriftelijk verslag over het bezoek; overleg je met de vrijwilligers en met partners verdere stappen in bepaalde dossiers; beheer je nauwkeurig de interne database van gevolgde dossiers in Brugge; volg je de afspraken op die tijdens een bezoek worden gemaakt (bv. contact leggen met de advocaat of met een externe partner); signaliseer je problematische dossiers en/of gebeurtenissen aan onze advocacy officer en aan MOVE; overleg je regelmatig met het bezoekersteam van JRS en de bezoekersgroep van MOVE en faciliteer je een vloeiende communicatie; woon je zo vaak als mogelijk vormings- en intervisiemomenten bij; organiseer en coördineer je de vrijwillige bezoekers in Brugge waaronder ook het regelmatig organiseren van intervisies met de vrijwilligers; plan je het volgende bezoek; zorg je voor een goede cohesie tussen jezelf en de vrijwilligers en bewaak je de methodologie en deontologie van de bezoeken; sta je samen met het bezoekersteam van JRS in voor de opleiding van nieuwe vrijwilligers;
