Wat is Natuur- en Landschapszorg?

Natuur- en Landschapszorg vzw (NLZ) is het maatwerkbedrijf in de schoot van Natuurpunt en is gespecialiseerd in het uitvoeren van natuur- en landschapsbeheer. Natuur- en Landschapszorg doet het beheer in de natuurgebieden van Natuurpunt, maar ook in de gebieden van externe opdrachtgevers (Vlaamse Overheid, Provincies, Lokale Besturen, Regionale Landschappen, …)

Wat doet Natuurpunt?

Natuurpunt is een onafhankelijke vrijwilligersvereniging met 125.000 leden die de kwetsbare en bedreigde natuur in Vlaanderen herstelt en beschermt. Natuurpunt streeft er ook naar dat iedereen toegang heeft tot de natuur. We beheren meer dan 29.000 hectare Vlaamse natuur in 500 verschillende natuurgebieden. De vrijwilligers, bijgestaan door de professionele ploegen, zorgen voor de aankoop, het beheer en de openstelling van natuurgebieden.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je zorgt voor het onderhoud van de natuurgebieden en voert de beheerplannen uit met grote gespecialiseerde machines voor landbouw en natuurbeheer. Je zal je specialiseren in het werken met rupsmaaiers die dienen voor het maaien van zeer natte gronden die weinig draagkracht hebben.
  • Transporteren van de rupsmaaiers naar en van de werven.
  • Je voert zelfstandig gespecialiseerd maai -en afvoerwerk uit.
  • Je bereidt de werken voor en maakt ze af in functie van beheer- en inrichtingsmaatregelen.
  • Je onderhoudt de machines.
  • Je werkt samen met de collega’s (van ons maatwerkbedrijf) om natuurbeheer uit te voeren.

Wie ben jij?

Competenties

  • Je kan zelfstandig instructies opvolgen.
  • Je kan je vlot aanpassen (aan een plots gewijzigde planning, afwezigheden in de ploeg,... )
  • Je bent steeds bereid om je collega’s te helpen.
  • Je hebt ervaring met of kennis van natuurbeheer en relevante machines (rupsmaaiers, landbouwmachines, kettingzaag, bosmaaier, tractor,..).
  • Je kan werken volgens veiligheidsvoorschriften.

Minimumvereisten

  • Rijbewijs BE en G
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van het Nederlands
  • Je kan fysiek zwaar werk uitoefenen
  • Je werkt graag in de natuur en dit in alle (weers)omstandigheden
