Gezinshuizen zijn een nieuw type verblijf en begeleiding in de Vlaamse jeugdhulp, met als doel kinderen die niet thuis kunnen opgroeien en voor wie een pleeggezin geen oplossing lijkt, toch ‘zo thuis mogelijk’ op te vangen. Als toegewijde gezinshuisouder ben jij de steunpilaar voor drie kinderen die bij jou in huis komen wonen, en dat alles vanuit jouw eigen warme thuis

In je eigen huis vang jij kinderen ‘Zo thuis mogelijk’ op.

Het moet een plek zijn waar kinderen zich veilig kunnen verbinden aan vertrouwde, vaste gezichten. Waar ze zich veilig, geliefd en gesteund voelen. En waar ze ondanks de moeilijke situatie thuis een ‘gewoon’ gezinsleven kunnen leiden.

Je biedt professionele zorg: Als gezinshuisouder ben je werknemer en dus professional in de zorg voor drie kinderen. Je vangt kinderen op die omwille van traumatische ervaringen moeilijk aarden in een pleeggezin. In het gezinshuis begeleid door Zorgbedrijf Antwerpen vang je kinderen op voor korte of lange termijn.

Daarnaast zijn we ook op zoek naar gezinshuisouders voor een mentorhuis, waar je jongeren vanaf 15 jaar begeleidt naar zelfstandigheid.

Je werkt samen met de ouders en het contact(herstel) met de ouders staat centraal. Ouders blijven betrokken bij het opgroeien van hun kind(eren). Zo wordt de wereld waarin een kind woont, speelt, leeft en opgroeit zoveel mogelijk één wereld.

Opleiding & ervaring

Je beschikt over een menswetenschappelijk diploma, of gelijkwaardig door ervaring, om kwetsbare kinderen en jongeren voor korte of lange termijn op te voeden en te begeleiden. Jouw doorzettingsvermogen, vermogen om structuur te bieden aan emotioneel kwetsbare kinderen en snelle respons op crisissituaties maken jou de perfecte kandidaat. Bovenal ben jij gedreven om van opvoeden jouw levenswerk te maken, met een lange adem en een warm hart.
