Heb jij in jouw (eigen) huis en hart nog ruimte om kinderen een stabiele thuisomgeving te bieden? Heb je daarnaast ook nog een afgeronde zorgopleiding? Dan zou een gezinshuis iets voor jou kunnen zijn. In je eigen huis of in een beschikbaar gezinshuis in Katwijk aan zee ondersteun je één of meerdere gezinshuiskinderen. Zij wonen permanent of in deeltijd bij jullie in. Als gezinshuisouder is wie je bent en hoe jullie de zaken thuis organiseren, de kracht van jullie gezinshuis. Onze visie is dat elk kind zo lang mogelijk in de eigen thuissituatie moet kunnen wonen. Als dat echt niet meer lukt, dan is er de mogelijkheid om het kind binnen 's Heeren Loo op te vangen, waarbij we de thuissituatie zoveel mogelijk willen benaderen. Onze ambitie is om meer gezinshuizen/logeergezinnen te realiseren. Er is een diversiteit aan gezinshuizen in de regio Zuid-Holland. Ieder gezinshuis creëert op een unieke wijze het klimaat van een gezinssituatie. Dit is afhankelijk van o.a. het eigen gezin, met al dan niet thuiswonende kinderen, de locatie en de persoonlijke levensovertuigingen en normen en waarden. Cliënten leren hun leven zo zelfstandig mogelijk vorm te geven, binnen hun mogelijkheden. Gezinshuisouders vormen meestal een echtpaar, maar kunnen ook een eenoudergezin zijn. Sommige gezinshuizen richten zich op een specifieke groep kinderen (zoals leeftijd of niveau). Bij logeergezinnen komen cliënten logeren in het vrije weekeinde van de gezinshuisouders.
