Wij zijn een prachtige authentieke Friese plattelandsgemeente met zestien dorpen. Grasland, heide, de Friese Wouden en veengebieden worden er doorkruist door vaarten en het Koningsdiep. Opsterlanders hebben een fijne dorpse mentaliteit en oog voor elkaar. Dit maakt Opsterland bij uitstek een prettige gemeente om te wonen, werken en te recreëren. De gemeenteraad bestaat uit zeven fracties en 23 raadsleden. De raad bestaat uit een mix van nieuwe tot zeer ervaren raadsleden, met uiteenlopende achtergronden en persoonlijkheden. Kenmerkend voor de Opsterlandse raad zijn nuchterheid, een constructieve houding en een sterke verbondenheid met de dorpen die samen de gemeente Opsterland vormen. De sfeer in het gemeentehuis is toegankelijk en informeel. De nieuwe griffier van Opsterland In het kort: Opsterland zoekt… - Een politiek-bestuurlijk sensitieve griffier die zich onafhankelijk opstelt. Je kent de behoeften, weet waar gevoeligheden liggen, doorziet complexe processen en stelt je neutraal op. - Een deskundige griffier die bekwaam is in het faciliteren van het politieke besluitvormingsproces. Je beheerst het primaire proces goed en begrijpt óók het ambtelijk proces. Je kan goed inschatten hoe en wanneer de raad hierbij betrokken kan worden en kiest daarin een pragmatische houding. Tot slot denk je mee over de positie en de rol van de raad en neemt hierin op een stapsgewijze manier initiatieven. - Een communicatief vaardige griffier die procedures, ideeën en meningen door gebruik van heldere en correcte taal aan anderen duidelijk kan maken.
