The posting

In een forensisch psychiatrisch centrum worden patiënten met een psychiatrische problematiek opgenomen die strafbare feiten hebben gepleegd en hiervoor ontoerekeningsvatbaar werden verklaard. Het doel van een forensisch psychiatrisch centrum is om het risico op het plegen van strafbare feiten bij deze patiënten te verminderen aan de hand van een behandeling op maat. Daardoor wordt het mogelijk om terug een plek in de maatschappij op te nemen of stappen te zetten naar minder beveiligde vervolgzorg.

ZIZ is een afdeling voor 'zeer intensieve zorg'. Dat is een oriëntatie -en opnameafdeling voor patiënten die niet stabiel genoeg functioneren om op een reguliere (opname)afdeling van FPC Gent te verblijven. De doelstelling van een verblijf op de ZIZ-afdeling is stabilisatie zodat een doorstroom naar een andere afdeling mogelijk wordt. Deze stabilisatie kan nodig zijn op verschillende gebieden, waaronder psychiatrisch, medicamenteus, functioneren in groep, onvoorspelbaar toestandsbeeld rekening houdende met veiligheid en agressie. Dit kan zowel gaan over patiënten met een persoonlijkheidsproblematiek, een verstandelijke beperking of een psychotische kwetsbaarheid.

Een hecht team van sociotherapeuten begeleidt de patiënten in hun behandeltraject. Jij maakt als therapeutisch assistent deel uit van dit fijne team met verpleegkundigen, woon- en leefgroep begeleiders en andere therapeutisch assistenten die er samen voor gaan, elke dag opnieuw.

We zoeken mensen met minstens een graduaats- of bachelorsdiploma in een menswetenschappelijke richting (bv. orthopedagogie, toegepaste psychologie, criminologie, ergotherapie etc.). Met de juiste ervaring kom je ook met een secundair diploma jeugd- en gehandicaptenzorg, leefgroepenwerking Se-n-Se of een graduaat PMT in aanmerking voor de functie. Een eerste werkervaring in de psychiatrie is zeker een meerwaarde. We kijken tijdens de sollicitatie niet alleen naar je diploma, maar ook naar je andere kwaliteiten. Je werkt graag in team en krijgt energie van het werken met mensen. Je kan het hoofd koel houden in onvoorspelbare situaties en bent veerkrachtig. Daarnaast schrikt het bijhouden van administratie je niet af, je kan je observaties helder formuleren in rapporten. Je ondersteunt je verpleegkundige collega’s bij een beperkt aantal activiteiten, zoals het nemen van parameters en het verstrekken van bepaalde medicatie. Respect en authenticiteit zijn belangrijk binnen het werk, hier kan je jezelf zijn. Je werkt in een gesloten omgeving met veel verschillende profielen, dus sterk in je schoenen staan is cruciaal.
