Onder elke nieuwe weg, elk rioolstelsel en elke stevige waterkant ligt grondwerk dat het allemaal mogelijk maakt. Of het nu gaat om grondverzet, riolering, bestrating of beschoeiing: zonder een goede ondergrond gebeurt er simpelweg niets. Jij legt die basis. Wat ga je doen? Als Grondwerker GWW werk je buiten, op infraprojecten voor opdrachtgevers als gemeenten, waterschappen en de provincie Zuid-Holland. Geen project is hetzelfde: de ene week ben je bezig met het bouwrijp maken van een nieuwe wijk, de andere week met de reconstructie van een weg of het vervangen van een hoofdriool. Je werkt nauw samen met machinisten en de uitvoerder, en vormt samen met hen een vast team op het project. Jouw werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit: - Het uitgraven en verplaatsen van grond, bijvoorbeeld bij watergangen, taluds en bouwputten, en het bouw- en woonrijp maken van locaties. - Het verwijderen van oude verhardingen en het vervangen van hoofdriolen, gevolgd door het met precisie aanbrengen van nieuwe bestrating. - Het construeren van stevige wanden langs waterkanten, om erosie te voorkomen. - Het controleren van de werklocatie op aanwezige kabels en leidingen, en het bewaken van de juiste graafdiepte. - Het bewaken van veiligheid en kwaliteit op de werklocatie, in nauwe samenwerking met de machinist en de uitvoerder.
