Als handlanger wegen en water ondersteun je de vakmannen van de technische dienst bij het onderhoud, de herstelling en de aanleg van het openbaar domein in Grimbergen. Je werkt mee aan wegen, voet- en fietspaden, rioleringen, grachten en waterafvoer. Groenonderhoud maakt geen deel uit van deze functie.

Je takenpakket is afwisselend en praktisch:

  • helpen bij de aanleg en herstelling van wegen, voetpaden en fietspaden;
  • ondersteunen bij kleine metselwerken en andere herstellingen;
  • helpen bij het plaatsen en onderhouden van straatmeubilair, boordstenen, watergreppels en straatkolken;
  • meewerken aan kleine herstellingen en onderhoudswerken aan rioleringen;
  • plaatsen en onderhouden van tijdelijke en permanente verkeerssignalisatie;
  • helpen bij het plaatsen van aankondigingsborden, verkeersborden en proefopstellingen;
  • bijdragen aan een veilige en nette openbare ruimte;
  • onderhouden en ordelijk houden van werkmateriaal, voertuigen, machines en de werkplaats;
  • defecten, tekorten of problemen tijdig melden aan de leidinggevende;
  • samenwerken met collega’s van de technische dienst en, waar nodig, vragen van inwoners correct ontvangen of doorgeven.

Je werkt hoofdzakelijk vanuit de gemeentelijke loods in Grimbergen en trekt van daaruit naar verschillende locaties binnen de gemeente. Veilig werken, goed samenwerken en zorg dragen voor het gebruikte materiaal zijn belangrijke onderdelen van de functie.

Dit heb je nodig voor de job

  • Je beschikt over een rijbewijs B voor een handgeschakelde wagen. Je bent bereid om zelfstandig met een dienstvoertuig naar verschillende werkplaatsen binnen de gemeente te rijden.
  • Goede Nederlandse kennis
  • Je werkt graag ondersteunend en ziet zelf welke hulp nodig is. Je wordt niet aan één vaste collega gekoppeld, maar ondersteunt verschillende vakmannen binnen de gemeente.
  • Je hebt geen probleem met buitenwerk in wisselende weersomstandigheden. Regen, wind of koude schrikken je niet af.
  • Je bent fysiek in staat om actief en soms zwaar werk uit te voeren, zoals het verplaatsen en leggen van klinkers.
  • Ervaring in wegenwerken of waterwerken is niet noodzakelijk. Je motivatie, inzet en bereidheid om bij te leren zijn het belangrijkst.
  • Je werkt veilig, bent betrouwbaar en functioneert goed in teamverband.
