Als Harvesting Automation Concept Systems Engineer werk je aan de ontwikkeling van de volgende generatie sensoren, regeltechnieken en automatiseringsoplossingen voor oogstmachines. Je neemt innovatieprojecten in handen vanaf het eerste concept tot en met simulatie, prototypeontwikkeling, voertuigintegratie en validatie in het veld.

Je verantwoordelijkheden omvatten onder andere:

  • Ontwikkelen van innovatieve sensor-, controle- en automatiseringsconcepten voor toekomstige oogstmachines.
  • Opstellen van systeemarchitecturen, functionele concepten, vereisten, interfaces en validatiestrategieën.
  • Evalueren en verder ontwikkelen van nieuwe technologieën binnen automatisering, AI, machine learning, robotica en geavanceerde regeltechniek.
  • Uitwerken van simulatiemodellen en samenwerken met simulatieteams om concepten vooraf te valideren.
  • Leiden van veldtesten en validatiecampagnes in reële oogstomstandigheden.
  • Ontwikkelen van robuuste oplossingen die betrouwbaar werken onder uitdagende omstandigheden zoals stof, modder, trillingen en wisselende gewasomstandigheden.
  • Analyseren van testresultaten en implementeren van verbeteringen om prestatiedoelstellingen te behalen.
  • Samenwerken met internationale engineeringteams, universiteiten en technologiepartners om innovaties naar toekomstige producten te vertalen.
  • Begeleiden van studenten en stagiairs binnen innovatieprojecten.
  • Bijdragen aan patenten, technologische roadmaps en de langetermijninnovatiestrategie van CNH

Wij zoeken een nieuwsgierige en innovatieve engineer die graag nieuwe technologieën verkent en complexe technische uitdagingen omzet in praktische oplossingen.

Je beschikt over:

  • Een masterdiploma in Mechatronica, Elektromechanica, Regeltechniek, Robotica of een gelijkaardige richting.
  • Minstens 4 jaar ervaring met mechatronische systemen.
  • Een sterke interesse in innovatie en technologische ontwikkeling.
  • Kennis van systems engineering, controlesystemen, sensortechnologie, simulatie of softwareontwikkeling.
  • Sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
  • Het vermogen om effectief samen te werken binnen multidisciplinaire en internationale teams.
  • Bereidheid om deel te nemen aan veldtesten en ongeveer 6 weken per jaar te reizen.

Pluspunten zijn:

  • Een PhD of bijkomende specialisatie in Mechatronica, Automatisering, Robotica, AI of Regeltechniek.
  • Ervaring met Matlab/Simulink, computer vision, machine learning, data-analyse, Python, embedded software, voertuigautomatisering of simulatie.
  • Ervaring binnen landbouwmachines, off-road voertuigen of mobiele machines.
  • Samenwerking met universiteiten of onderzoeksinstellingen.
  • Affiniteit met landbouwmachines en oogstprocessen
