The posting

As a Senior Support/ System Engineer, you will take on a broad and hands-on position combining System Engineering, Microsoft 365 administration and 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support. This is not a purely infrastructure-focused role. You enjoy being close to users and are willing to remain actively involved in support activities, including first-line support.

Your responsibilities include

  • Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to users across Europe
  • Troubleshooting Hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and infrastructure-related incidents
  • Managing and administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows and EndPoint devices
  • Coordinating onboarding, offboarding and user access requests
  • Handling incidents, service requests, problems and changes within an ITIL-based environment
  • Working with Jira and Confluence for ticket management, documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Supporting the rollout and further adoption of Jira and Confluence within the organization
  • Collaborating with external IT vendors and service providers
  • Contributing to IT projects, operational improvements and technical documentation
  • Providing backup and support to colleagues within the team

The role is based in Waterloo and includes occasional travel to European offices, approximately once per month.

What you'll get in return

  • Permanent full-time contract
  • Gross salary between EUR4,000 and EUR5,000, depending on experience
  • Company car with fuel card (Europe)
  • Group insurance and hospitalization insurance
  • Extra-legal pension plan
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Homeworking allowance and internet compensation
  • Laptop setup including screen, docking station, webcam and headset
  • Training opportunities relevant to your role
  • Flexible working hours
  • Up to 1-2 days of homeworking per week
  • Modern working environment with cafeteria and fitness facilities
  • Exposure to international IT operations and cloud technologies

To succeed in this role, you combine strong technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset. You have

  • Language skills are essential: Dutch and English are fluent, and ideally a good level of French
  • A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, IT Support Engineer or similar position
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Windows environments
  • Experience across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support environments
  • Previous experience working with Jira as a ticketing or IT service management platform
  • Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge management
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management principles

You are independent, approachable, flexible and comfortable working in a flat organization where collaboration and mutual support are key.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
