Je moedigt cliënten aan om het beste uit zichzelf te halen en zo brengt elke dag iets nieuws. Je ziet wat cliënten nodig hebben en speelt daar flexibel op in. De ene keer help je bij het bereiden van een maaltijd, de andere keer ga je samen naar buiten voor een wandeling of speel je een spelletje. Daarnaast ondersteun je bij de ADL-momenten. Je werkt met individuele dagprogramma's die aansluiten bij de wensen, mogelijkheden en behoeften van iedere bewoner. Omdat geen cliënt hetzelfde is, ziet ook geen dag er hetzelfde uit. Je werkt volgens signalerings- en alertheidsfaseplannen, waardoor je veranderingen in gedrag tijdig herkent en hier op een passende manier op inspeelt. In jouw begeleiding ligt de nadruk op het behouden én stimuleren van de mogelijkheden van bewoners, zodat zij zoveel mogelijk regie en kwaliteit van leven behouden. Waar ga je werken? Op deze locatie wonen zeven vaste bewoners en is één logeerplek beschikbaar. De cliënten hebben een ernstige meervoudige beperking. Dit betekent dat zij naast een verstandelijke beperking ook lichamelijke en soms zintuiglijke beperkingen hebben. Het ontwikkelingsniveau ligt gemiddeld tussen de 0 en 4 jaar. Binnen de doelgroep komen onder andere hechtingsproblematiek, het Rett-syndroom en het Downsyndroom voor. Hierdoor hebben cliënten intensieve zorg en ondersteuning nodig bij de dagelijkse basisactiviteiten. Communicatie is vaak non-verbaal of sterk beperkt. Daarom zijn het observeren van signalen, het zorgvuldig interpreteren van gedrag en een persoonlijke benadering van groot belang. Je werkt in een team met zowel pedagogisch als zorggeschoolde collega's.
