Op de afdeling neonatologie van ZGT worden pasgeborenen opgevangen en behandeld die acuut medische en verpleegkundige zorg nodig hebben. Wat ons ziekenhuis hierin uniek maakt is dat moeder en kind bij ons niet worden gescheiden. In onze gezinskamers, waar de gezinnen soms weken verblijven, geven wij pasgeborenen de meest optimale kans om een hechte band met ouders/verzorgers en andere gezinsleden te ontwikkelen. Wij werken dan ook volgens het principe van gezinsgerichte en ontwikkelingsgerichte zorg. Dit maakt dat er sprake is van een nauwe samenwerking tussen de neonatologieverpleegkundigen, obstetrieverpleegkundigen en kraamverzorgenden. Je signaleert, handelt en prioriteert snel, hebt aandacht voor stress, pijn en comfort bij de zieke pasgeborene en verleent laag tot midden complexe zorg aan de moeder. Je bevordert en versterkt de kracht en het zelfvertrouwen van de ouders/verzorgers. Jij bent een verbindende factor in de multidisciplinaire samenwerking. Daarnaast denk je actief mee bij het vaststellen van een diagnose- en behandelplan, maar ook over kwaliteitsverbetering van onze zorg. Je staat open voor feedback en reflecteert op je eigen handelen. Je weet je collega's te vinden voor het verwerken van situaties die stressvol voor je zijn geweest in het werk. Een meeloopdag behoort tot de mogelijkheden.
