Jouw dag op de dienst medische registratie Elke dag zorgen honderden zorgverleners voor de best mogelijke patiëntenzorg. Achter die zorg schuilt een wereld van gegevens die correct geregistreerd, geanalyseerd en gerapporteerd moeten worden. De dienst medische registratie staat in voor de wettelijk verplichte registratie en aanlevering van de minimale ziekenhuisgegevens: het medische luik (MG-MZG), het verpleegkundige luik (VG-MZG) en de psychiatrische gegevens (MPG).

Als hoofdverantwoordelijke medische registratie zorg jij ervoor dat die cruciale informatie klopt, tijdig beschikbaar is en optimaal wordt ingezet. Zo draag je rechtstreeks bij aan kwaliteitsvolle zorg, beleidsbeslissingen én de financiering van ons ziekenhuis. Hier krijg je de ruimte om te werken in een dynamische omgeving waar kwaliteitsvolle zorg centraal staat, ondersteund door toptechnologie en een hecht team.

Ruimte om te handelen

Als hoofdverantwoordelijke medische registratie

  • draag je de eindverantwoordelijkheid voor de kwaliteit, uniformiteit en tijdigheid van de medische registratie binnen de drie registratiedomeinen (MG-MZG, VG-MZG en MPG) en lever je zo een belangrijke bijdrage aan de kwaliteitszorg en financiering van ons ziekenhuis;
  • stuur je de dienst medische registratie aan, zorg je voor een vlotte dagelijkse werking en neem je verantwoordelijkheid op voor de organisatie en het personeelsbeleid van de dienst;
  • bewaak je een correcte en uniforme toepassing van de MZG- en ICD-10-richtlijnen en zet je een structurele interne kwaliteits- en auditcyclus op de codering op;
  • coach je medewerkers en stimuleer je een open samenwerking, duidelijke afspraken en een aangename werksfeer;
  • vertaal je het ziekenhuisbrede kwaliteitsbeleid naar de werking van je dienst en zet je de nodige verbeter- en verandertrajecten op;
  • leg je de link tussen registratie en indicatorenbeleid: je begrijpt hoe codeer- en registratiepraktijk doorwerkt in indicatoren zoals case-mix, ligduur, dagziekenhuisratio en mortaliteitsratio;
  • neem je het voortouw in de verdere automatisering van het codeerproces en onderzoek je opportuniteiten rond AI-ondersteunde codering en de koppeling met het elektronisch patiëntendossier;
  • werk je nauw samen met verschillende interne partners, zoals de dienst facturatie of de artsen, om registratieprocessen optimaal op elkaar af te stemmen;
  • volg je wijzigingen in wet- en regelgeving actief op en zorg je ervoor dat de registratiepraktijk hierop afgestemd blijft;
  • onderhoud je contacten met en ben je een aanspreekpunt voor externe partners en instanties rond medische registratie;
  • rapporteer je aan de medisch directeur.

Ruimte voor jouw talent

We zoeken een collega die klaar is om bij te dragen aan kwaliteitsvolle zorg en zichzelf wil blijven ontwikkelen. Bovendien heb je

  • een bachelor- of masterdiploma in een zorg-, gezondheidszorgmanagement-, biomedische of gelijkwaardige richting, of gelijkwaardige ervaring;
  • enkele jaren ervaring binnen een ziekenhuisomgeving
  • bij voorkeur leidinggevende ervaring;
  • medische en/of verpleegkundige kennis;
  • ervaring met verandertrajecten en procesoptimalisatie;
  • affiniteit met data, rapportering, indicatorenbeleid en ziekenhuisfinanciering;
  • sterke analytische vaardigheden en oog voor kwaliteit;
  • sterke communicatieve vaardigheden in functie van effectief leiderschap en stakeholder management;
  • het talent om prioriteiten te stellen en overzicht te bewaren.
