Host/Hostess - full-time Are you hospitable, service-minded and do you ensure that everything is organised down to the last detail? If so, we're looking for you! About the role As a Host or Hostess, you are the face of our organisation. You ensure that our guests feel welcome and that meetings and events run smoothly and professionally. For this role, we are looking for a full-time colleague (40 hours per week). You will mainly work at the end of the day and in the evenings, as this is when many of our meetings take place. At the same time, we expect you to be flexible and, where necessary, to provide support during the day as well. Naturally, we'll try to discuss this with you as far in advance as possible. No two days are the same: one day you might be welcoming guests to a meeting, the next you might be organising drinks, preparing a room or helping with practical tasks in the office. What are you going to do? - Receiving, welcoming and assisting guests; - Preparing function rooms and tidying them up afterwards; - Providing coffee and tea service and serving rounds of coffee; - Setting up and clearing away refreshments; - Checking equipment, such as laptops and projectors; - Ensuring the kitchen and public areas are kept tidy and presentable; - Ensuring that meetings and events run smoothly; - Handling incoming and outgoing post, including processing and dispatching letters and parcels; - Carrying out minor technical and facilities-related tasks and reporting faults or defects; - Identifying and resolving practical issues that arise during the day; - At the end of the evening, securing the premises in a tidy and safe manner.
